I currently have 9, 8.5,7, and remnents of 5.
I keep 7 for a couple 32bit plugins and loading old projects.
I'd like to un-install and re-install to clean things up and save some Hard disk space.
Also I still have Halion sonic2 SE.Is HS se3 a separate download?
Thanks, Bill

I keep Cubase 4 installed for old projects I started with 3 SX and for using old 32-bit plugins that crash later versions. Then I use 6.5 for other stuff because it retains the old interface style but has advantages over 4.

Frankly, I have so many old 32-bit plugins but am so often running into 32-bit arch memory limitations with large-ish sample libraries, that I'm thinking I should fully invest in Bitwig, since it can handle 32 and 64 bit plugs simultaneously. Hopefully I can gel with its workflow.
A well-behaved signature.

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Or you could just use jBridge and be able to use these old 32-bit plugins with much better stability than ever in Cubase Pro 9.5, which will offer better workflow than 6.5 while also being more familiar and much more complete than bitwig.

You're willing to switch to something that's absolutely nothing like Cubase, yet you skipped 6 years of Cubase upgrades just because of a few small interface tweaks (which have since become changes for the better). That makes no sense.

Yes it will. Just download the beta here if you already bought jBridge:

As for the Izotope stuff being blacklisted, that's likely just stray .dlls and not the actual Izotope VST plugins that are being blacklisted. Do they show up in your effects list?

I second this. I was raged when cubase blacklisted all my Izotope plugins. Turns out those are not the actual plugins, just some dlls that Izotope put there for other purposes. The actual plugins are still in the plugin list :hihi:

I just removed C8 C8.5 and C9. Now it's just C9.5. I kept previous versions but without single reason to use them. It was time to clean up mess in C drive

I keep all the versions installed from version 6 to 9.5 installed. They don't conflict. I have a large number of older projects that were started on various version of cubase and keep them around for full backward compatibility. On my next computer build I'll likely do away with most of them as I have converted most of the projects now to run on Cubase 8 and up.

I don't like using bit-bridges.

Whether the interface changes are for the better is a matter of opinion, dontcha think? ;)

You're making an awful lot of assumptions.
