Hi folks,

what happens when I buy a used Steinberg licence? Are licences transferable between dongles? People often sell those on KVR and I'm tempted to buy one, but I already have a dongle and don't want a second one.

AFAIK you can't do anything in terms of transfers from account to account. You'll have to have both dongles inserted for the licenses to work.

you can plug them both in and transfer the licenses to one dongle with elicenser software

Yes, I think it is just drag n drop a license between.

That's what I did when I went from Elements having computer license on hdd, and also inserting a dongle. Just drop it on dongle.

Then transfer the dongle - if that is the case you are selling off something.
I just removed the dongle from account as I sold Arturia stuff with licenses on it - and never heard from buyer having any problem.

He probably just register this eLicenser on his account.

I don't think there are problems either, as there have been so many Steinberg products in the market and I have never heard of any problems. Maybe I should just try it. It's only money. (:
