Being a douche is hardly a very heavy insult, from my part it is an observation
Except if you think being a douche is a big issue though.

Well, I observed that the guy was being insulting. I cannot really be insulted by that, it has no reality, it will have had to strike a nerve or somewhat. We could talk of more substantive things but this is what we get here too frequently. The irony of someone with no contribution to make on substance going for the cliché 'the Emperor's New Clothes' is remarkable, maybe.
Here, Doreen in what I think is a better mix than on the actual release You Are What You Is. I didn't think so with earlier uploads from Crush All Boxes (an album which never made release). I blame the file compression codec.
Mark Pinske, mixing engineer is the common thread here.

Well, no arguing that, but there's plenty of butterknives in the kitchens of this world- it's only when they are also insecure, bitter and hostile they get muted KVR is better without that litter.Numanoid wrote: As far as I know, you are as dull as a butterknife.

Thank you Jennifer Young of openers, The Travis Larson Band, for the loan of her 4-string bass so I could play Eat That Question/Echidna's Arf.

And of course thank you to my dear friend Bryan Beller for his sparing me 6 minutes from his show (and strap-loan) so I could destroy this seminal work of art.
Guess I'm not done yet.

Thunes just turned up and was able to remember that bassline
I saw Frank 4 times, but I don't remember him ever playing this. I saw Dweezil and the ZPZ tour in 2006. They did play it and it was worth the wait.
Is that Joe Travers on Drums?

FZ brought it out again in 1988. I had a collection of Thunes' bass parts from that book.seismic1 wrote:Thunes just turned up and was able to remember that bassline

ST talks about how difficult something near the end is on the FB somewhere.
Yes, that's Vaultmeister and former Duran Duran drummer Joe Travers on drums.

Willie the Pimp is really a one nasty tune. I remember this was the first piece by Zappa I learned to play, the city I lived when I was in the high school, had a very good music library and plenty of rock- and jazz notes, among other the Hot Rats.
Peaches en Regalia and Hot Rats were my favorites, I learned all melody parts first by piano, and then we played those arranged for a quartet, as instrumentals.
