Short answer: yes... but that pic is a jaguar guitar... are you looking for jaguar bass, p-bass, or j-bass?
Def. check out IK MODO... it's modeled, good sound, very flexible. For some things sampled bass is better than MODO... but MODO is definitely 8.5/10 in my book.
For Fender bass samplesets:
AmpleSound (p-bass and j-bass)
Scarbee (Pre-bass and Jay-bass)
Ilya Efimov (Retro bass and Classic bass)
OrangeTreeSamples (Jaco)
AmpleSound is it's own engine, all others are Kontakt. If you're looking for jaguar bass specifically for some reason, not sure if there's a simplest out there... I think MODO might have it, not sure offhand.

VI as in Virtual Instrument or as in the Roman number for 6 strings?

MODO doesn't have a Bass VI, just standard 4-5 strings.
I talked a KVRer into recording his Squier Bass VI, then edited those samples into this: http://www.karoryfer.com/karoryfer-samp ... /pastabass - not the world's most detailed library, but it's free...

I can see why you thought this above pix is a Jaguar, but it is not, look again.
No MONDO Bass VI.

This is exciting DSmolken !!DSmolken wrote:MODO doesn't have a Bass VI, just standard 4-5 strings.

Two different strings (round - flat) picked/muted/fingered !!!
I'll dload the samples upstairs later then transport to music room PC and see what how I can use them.
Plan to play them with a midi guitar and use them for Cure/ Cocteau Twins sounds.
Thanks loads DSmolken!
Barry.
EDIT - syncronisticly and unconsciously I ran into George Harrison playing a Fender VI in this vid;

Aha! I didn't know such a thing existed... but in my defense I don't really hang out in boutique guitars shops.annode wrote: I can see why you thought this above pix is a Jaguar, but it is not, look again.
