creation - my only purpose in life that worth it.
as an amateur i write, i play theatre, i sing and play music. i used to draw a lot, now it's over, and i want to make short movies in the future.
among all these arts, music is my favorite. for me the most intimate, the most touching, the most moving.
i love music, i love playing music. music is my land, my sanctuary, the universe i belong to.
back to earth now.

cause I feel like it.
No band scene here where I live & this way at least I get to mess around with track creation even if it isn't as good as if I were a part of a band which is what I'd prefer..
Consider it a pilot-light for me.

Hrm. I've never met anybody who got chicks from making bedroom music. In a gigging band, maybe... but as a home hobbyist? Not a chance. Most of my girlfriends never even ask me to play guitar or sing for them. Maybe there's a reason for that. 
ET, the best thing you can do for yourself is to not worry about creating works of genius. The day I decided it was OK to use derivation as a launching pad (ie. "Hmm... I like Aimee Mann... I'm going to try to write an Aimee Mann-like song") is the day I discovered that your own voice will come through no matter WHAT. Very liberating to give yourself permission to base music on stuff that's "already been done", I tell you.
That said, some days I'll be in the middle of something and just go, "Bah, what's the f**king point?" and go watch TV or take my dog for a walk instead.

Why do I do it? Depends on what time of the day, how much beer I've had, if I'm happy or depressed..
I hate to admit I got into music to "get chicks", started playing guitar when I was a teenager.. alas, I found I was more interested in the guitar than girls!
Now I do it for me, to express my feelings and emotions, or whatever is passing through my mind/heart/soul or what have you. If some people like to listen to what I do, cool. If some people don't like to listen, cool. I try not to stress about it, I'm not into becoming rich/famous/commercial so I can at least avoid the "everyone has to like it" trap. It keeps me more or less sane, some people think less (hee hee) but there it is.
I have my stops and starts too. I can do days without a single inspiration, but when it hits I have to act on it or I'll not get any sleep until I do (lol). Drives me crazy, it does. Oh well.
