step sequencers like Thesys but also Hybrid3 and Stochas

I have been looking at Thesys (again ) but I dont think it does tied notes, which seems strange and a bit limiting. Is this correct? If so is there something like Thesys that is a bit more powerful. Or is there a workaround for simulating tied notes

Also Hybrid3 goes for $1 on Black Friday and it looks like it has a great sequencer - would it be possible to just use Hybrid3 just as a sequencer without using the internal sounds

And, Stochas - this looks quite amazing a very useful - anyone have any experience with Stochas?
