Hi everyone. I hope somebody can shine a light on the Kontakt 5 library. NI website said 43+ gb of content.... When I bought it, the size of downloaded content was 23gb.... Not even close to 43. Can somebody comment on this? Thank you.

That is normal, all samples are losslessly compressed to Kontakt's NCW format.

Hmm.. that what I thought at first, but then found another page of NI, they specifically stated, downloaded size 35gb...still far from 23...

Required disk space: 1 GB for the application, 23.2 GB for the Factory Library (uncompressed size is 48 GB).

It's kinda confusing how they worded it, but basically, their 23gb of compressed ncw is equivalent to 43gb of uncompressed wav.

shidostrife, thanks. Looks like you are correct. NI had a page that stated specifically, "DOWNLOADED size 30+GB" I got confused by that.
