Cubase dongles work in multi-port usb hub?

The events at Sonar, my main DAW, have me thinking hard about my Plan B. One potential option is Cubase. Before I start doing any any major research, demoing etc., I'm trying to determine whether there is one small but fatal flaw lurking. My laptop has 3 USB ports. My audio interface and my external sample drive each need to be connected directly into one to work properly. In the third USB port, I have one of those multi-USB hubs. I use it for my wireless keyboard, my midi keyboard and my iLok. Does anyone know whether Cubases' dongle works in those? I can't find out by demoing the software as the trial version requires no dongle.

My Sony monitor has a hub - it has my e-Licenser, iLok and Waves/Plugin Alliance dongles plugged into it. No problems in 4 years.

I also don't have any problem with 4-ports hub called Wavlink (usb 3.0). There was a thread about hubs, I don't remember which one! Some users complained about some 7-ports hubs.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Glad you mentioned that. It's what I have.

Are you sure you don't need the dongle for the Pro demo? Elements doesn't require the dongle, but the Pro demo I think it does, unless things have changed.

It depends on the hub I think (model, manufacturer). But the eLicenser dongle works fine here via my monitor (AOC) USB hub.

The demo (for 9.5) won't be available for a good few weeks yet. They never are.

Yes, I think it takes a month or so for the 9.5 demo. I was thinking of version 9 demo, but I don't think it is available after the 9.5 was released.
