Great release, thanks a lot!
Really nice to see my presets added in this release.
Am loving the drawable LFO, some notes:
- The dragpoint in the screenshot can be placed outside the LFO window, after that the only way to get it back is to double click on the point it's originating from. I understand it's needed to get the right curve, but editting after gets difficult.
- How can I add more points? Could double-click be added?
- When I switch to Draw, Bezier window is still visible. When I do Expand, then edit the LFO and exit Wavedraw I see the drawn LFO below and still the Bezier on top.
Cheers,
Rob

To add points select either the first or last point at the far left or right of the graph
and drag it in from the edge toward the center and it will create a new segment.
You can do this as many times as you want and create as many segments as you want.
Yes, that is correct, the Bezier curve points must be able to exist outside the edge of the graph
since that is how Bezier curves are defined mathematically. I could not think of any slick way
to provide access again to points outside the edges other than to double click on the base point.
I may experiment with the solution of letting the mathematical point go outside
but placing a virtual point at the edge so it can be dragged again without double clicking.
Also your observation about the graph in the center always being the Bezier is correct.
I had not yet got a chance to implement the drawable graph being resized on the fly
and placed in the center when the expanded view is closed. So you will notice that changing
the Wave Type will change the real source of the function used for audio and also
the panel graph, but the smaller center view always shows the Bezier graph even
if the draw graph is selected. This is confusing, but will be fixed when both graphs
can be minimized to the center.

Hi Fathom,
When using poly patches, the CPU is getting up to 50% on one instance, when playing chords of 3 or more keys.
Also, are you going to add the left and right arrows for presets and waveform browsing?
It sounds awesome! The best $10 i've ever spent.

@Everett: Thanks for the quick reply, for now it's fine of course.
I will enjoy building new patches using the drawable LFO.
Btw. I didn't realise you added modulating the LFO period some time ago, great stuff.
@Simmo75:
Some poly patches of mine only add up to between 10 - 25%, pressing 3 or more keys in Renoise ( Windows ).
E.G.: AdditiveWAh or FM-Growlbass ..in the pro electronica folder.
Guess it all depends on the CPU, and Fathom isn't optimised yet with SIMD instructions as Everett stated.

50% seems high, which patch? What is your OS and CPU?
Yeah, so many users have asked for the left and right browser arrows, so I will add that in the next release.
Note that if you click the Browser the mouse wheel and keyboard arrows will do the same thing.

Hey can someone tell me how to create an email list in KVR.
I always try to send the requested release emails here and it always says its too many users.

Airbox Chords - 50% load with a 3 key chord. Also lots of noise/clicks/breakup.FathomSynth wrote:50% seems high, which patch? What is your OS and CPU?
windows 10 64. i7 6700k
edit: lowered my latency which stopped the clicks/breakup. Still hitting 50% cpu though (on the vst meter in cubase)

Wickfut, How exactly did you eliminate the clicking on Cubase, I want to put that in the Cubase instructions.
OK, so, Airbox Chords was one of my first presets done a long time ago, and was an effort to duplicate the incredibly rich and noisy synth lead on Haddaway's "What is Love". It has two oscillators with 6 total detune channels per voice, Chorus enabled on 4 of the channels, the Noise algorithm running on every detune channel, on every voice, with 4 threads enabled per noise channel, plus distortion on every channel, which itself is an incredibly CPU expensive operation. Not to mention 3 filters , 4 modulators, and digital delay with 3 channels, and filters on each DDL channel.
So basically its got a bazillion things going on at once. Its a very extreme case of an inefficient preset.
I probably should never have put it in the factory presets to begin with, since it makes Fathom look slow if people don't realize everything the preset is doing.
I'm also getting about 40% load with that preset in both Cubase and Ableton, also on an i7.
Attached is a clean up of the preset with a Heavy, Lite and Clean version. and much less CPU load, with barely any loss of sound quality. (Might even say it sounds better).
Airbox Chords Heavy, 3 Notes, 28%
Airbox Chords Lite, 3 Notes, 12%
Airbox Chords Clean, 3 Notes, 7%
