I have Falcon and at the same time got some UVI libraries. Obviously I have access to those libraries from Falcon.

Is there any point in using the UVI Player? ie does it offer anything additional / different over Falcon?

I use it just for simplicity. For example, I use the Orchestra percussion with each instrument in a single instance of player loaded in VEP. It keeps the IO process really clean and simple to shut off all the eq and processing in Player. Now if I want to mangle the crap out of a gong hit, I leave it in Falcon.

If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

I never use the UVI player since I bought Falcon.
But that’s just me personally.
Like SJ said it could have its uses with being simpler I suppose.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

Me too. Almost never uses UVI Workstation. This reminds me to uninstall it, as I live on a very small SSD macbook.

If I know I'm just going to be preset hopping, then the player is what I'll go for. Smaller (visual) footprint, all the same quality. Unsure if it takes less CPU, but I wouldn't doubt it. Can anyone confirm or deny that?
