does anybody have a reccomendation of a free (or cheap) sampler that supports giga format?

I believe the cheapest Giga compatible sampler is VSampler 3 from www.maz-sound.de (€149). There was a beta version of sfz+ from www.rgcaudio.com with Giga support but sadly it’s not available anymore. Another alternative is to use a sample format converter like CDXtract, Translator or Extreme Sample Converter, convert the .gig files to SoundFonts and play them back in a freeware SF-player like sfz.
