It does happen -- there is more than enough evidence in every DAW forum I've seen. Now, if you have Win 10 Pro, you can disable updates with group policy.

Are you saying it's never happened to you, or you have updates disabled? Because the only lie would be to say it's never happened to anyone else.

They don't like breaking daws, in fact, it makes them feel terrible, they're very remorseful.

BTW I haven't had one break anything yet. Maybe because I don't talk bad about them. Try that.

Saying that Windows 10 updates "like" to break DAW's is total BS though. And no Windows 10 update ever "broke" Cubase, Studio One, Reason, Wavelab, VSTHost or anything else here.

I have updates disabled and update every 4 months or so.

None of my DAWs have been effected and I have quite a few

I love both FLS and Cubase but they do not have ARA
so
I use S1

but must add
there are so many VST midi fx available and can be used with any DAW.

Maybe if your MIDI editing consists of nothing besides adding and deleting notes.

They absolutely can cause issues specially with out of date DAWs. Like someone else mentioned, there are plenty of cases in pretty much every DAW forum.

I'm frequent in a couple of Windows 10 forums, and, in most cases in which people claimed a Windows 10 update "broke" something, it actually was the users behavior which broke something.

None, because I don't use that OS on my music computer. But I know that updates have caused issues for some people, mainly those using previous versions of DAWs.

But apparently you think that DAW developers are overreacting when they tell people to not update their OS until they have thoroughly tested it for full compatibility.

Ah, OK, then you're not speaking from experienced, but rather from what you read somewhere. I figured so.

So where's the mass of DAW software developers giving out warning to not update to the recent Windows 10 update?

Also you should take into account that those warnings are often not more than "we haven't thoroughly tested it yet, so you may encounter problems". With a recommendation not to update yet.
