I understand a lot has happened since it's initial release but they have released two rack based products since Bernie's passing. I would think that porting Magma's effects to their new rack system might be easier than debugging someone else's code?
Maybe not.
I do like my Nomad Factory effects so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
It works fairly reliably for me in Cubase and Reason, but has very repeatable and show stopping bugs in Reaper on windows 7.

It has some quirks on all three systems, but nothing that I can't work around. I think that I mentioned them in a thread here somewhere.

Unfortunately, It doesn't work with many third party plugins as a VST or AAX which is what I use it for so at the moment it's completely useless. :dog:

@ashley please focuse on fixing your current products for the people who already paid for them before launching new ones.

Thank you!

Happy to see Plugivery posting here and acknowledging our issues. Disappointed to hear their plan for porting their back catalog to the new framework and the development of new plugins. This would seem to indicate quite a wait to see any progress with Magma. :(

Can't believe I paid $199.00 for MAGMA in 2012. What was I thinking? Anyway, it was heavy on cpu but worked ok for the first couple of releases. Its performance deteriorated as time went on. Never really got much value out of it.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Any news on this?

Certainly would be nice to see Magma finally getting some love. Personally I don't have any requests except bug fixing.

Thanks for your comments, we're working with our developers to port our entire catalogue of plug-ins to a new framework, update them with a fresh new look and fix any and all outstanding issues you may have. This will take us a little time as we process alongside new product releases. The first ported update is set to be for BBE Sound plug-ins fairly soon, so keep updated with our dealers' newsletters.
I wonder what ever became of that (in regards to Magma)?

I don't know, nothing from them has survived the most recent reinstall/refresh for me. I don't even remember where I purchased Magma from so I'm not sure where to find my license. I don't care, I'm over that way of working.

I guess if this thread was resurrected there may be hope for Magma, but I doubt it.
Shame it was a nice idea.

Still can't believe I paid full price for it. What was I thinking?

2012 was a long time ago, software-wise, we didn't have this culture of intro pricing and regular sales we seem to now. I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. That much.

You're right. Thanks. :tu:

We also hope to have a new website asap with all the newer plug-ins listed; on our to do list... If you'd like to check them out, please download and trial them here!

Resurrecting the topic... Now in 2025 I think Magma is still very relevant and intelligent. Could we at least see a bug-free version running in VST3? We recently had an update of Megnetic that was incredible... Please, look at Magma with affection, it could easily be the best multi-effects in Nomad's catalog.
I love coffee...
