Because of all the trouble, thank you again urs and the whole uheteam. Repro 1 and 5 are so wonderful synths with really amazing factorypresets and perhaps some more soon with the luftrumpresets. And at all great possibilities to make own presets too. Best wishes and good luck for zebra 3.

Well after that one guy got banned, I kind felt more Sunday-ish. Wife and I ended up binge watching Outcast, almost to the end of season 2. So it became a splendid Do-Nothing-Sunday after all, roughly from about early afternoon.Stefken wrote:A clean slate and adult conversation = a good choice imo.Urs wrote:I think this thread is doomed. I will go to the office today for a proper computer with a large screen and a mouse and I will spend some time learning how to seperate posts from one thread into another.
I'll also report those who call others "trolls" or "idiots" or "clowns" to the main moderators as these people clearly haven't figured it out. I don't need people who throw name calling and ad hominems to to interact with me and others in a beta testing thread.
Thank you for ruining my Sunday.
Don't know yet, but it feels enticing to start a new thread once the people I mentioned before have left KVR.Chris-S wrote:Is a second beta planned before final release?
It's very likely that we will post a release candidate in a new thread, and then the final version in yet another.

I bumped into an issue, but I'm not sure if the problem is the host (Renoise 3.1.1) or the plugin (VST2, 64bit). My Windows 10 Home desktop is set to 125% scaling, the display's resolution is 2560x1440. I override this for Renoise in the compatibility settings for the program (so it is not scaled up). The result is that the plugin looks like this (<-- link) in Renoise. It is drawn correctly if I do not override the dpi scaling. I've checked in the Renoise forum and have been told that at 1080p it can't be reproduced, so it may be specific to 1440p (and possibly up).
The other u-he plugins that I have (Hive, Bazille, and the free ones) do not behave like this, they are all shown correctly regardless of whether Renoise is scaled by Windows. It only happens with Repro-5.

Thanks, I'll do what I can.tasmaniandevil wrote:Very good question.braj wrote:Regarding testing, to help get this back on topic, is there specific tests and scenarios that would be helpful for us to do?
Since the new browser got almost all my attention over the last couple of months, it’s possible that there are quite a few undetected bugs lurking in Repro-5.
If you want to test specific things, a few areas of interest might be:
* does the modulation section work, or do unexpected things happen
* does host sync work (e.g. there is an issue with s&h going bananas in FL Studio)
* are there any problems when rendering/bouncing/freezing files in the host (someone reported glitches when rendering in Ableton which I could not reproduce over here)
* do host projects get recalled correctly (there is a report about silence when recalling Bitwig projects)
* are there any issues with host automation
* are there any problems when switching presets with HQ enabled (there is a brief CPU surge when switching presets in order to correctly initialize the new preset, this can lead to some short sound glitches, but otherwise should be ok)

Would it be too much to change the Repro-5 font to a Celtic one? I checked and the font is American Unical.
I know it is frivolous, but anyhow, I love Celtic fonts on my synths

You should learn how doing skins, never know, there’s may be a big market for synth offering Celtic fonts.braj wrote:...I know it is frivolous, but anyhow, I love Celtic fonts on my synths

Well, I went ahead and made it for myself. I doubt there is a market for Celtic-themes synths, but you never knownordickvr wrote:You should learn how doing skins, never know, there’s may be a big market for synth offering Celtic fonts.braj wrote:...I know it is frivolous, but anyhow, I love Celtic fonts on my synths
(New image and smaller, with Sequentially-correct American Unicial font, changed U-he logo with Stop font. Sorry for stealing focus in the thread too.)

Hi.
FYI: Im running it on 2 computers both probably fairly low spec. A Windows 10 i7 (4 core) laptop, 2.95Ghz, 8 Gig ram. Hosted in Reason 9.5. It struggles a little with polyphony particularly in HQ. MC helps.
Also, Im running it on a Windows 10, i5 (4 core) desktop, 3.1 Ghz, 8 gig. Hosted in Reason 9.5. Runs really nicely in HQ mode with MC on. Maybe struggles a little with long pad sounds in polyphony. But, if Im careful to keep the voice count down to just the notes I need then its basically fine. Strange that the i5 fairs better, but I have a feeling that the mother board and other components are better quality. Who knows where bottle necks occur on these systems?
Subjectively: It sounds fantastic. Even though the lap top struggles its a must have. Im happy to bounce tracks for the quality here and ofcourse, my hardware will only get more powerful as I upgrade eventually.
Congratulations to the U-he mob.
Now, I have to write to Santa.....

Getting really good results with Repro 5, started making patches right away, new interesting stuff I can't do elsewhere, at least not sounding like this.
Is there an Init function?
