if you want whole control over your bits than look no further than mbitfun multiband (could be awful to learn but patience is awarded)
otherwise D16 decimort 2 for ease of eyes and use for life

Its more than a Bitcrusher in that it can simulate all kind of retro artefacts and sounds great. You can get your 24Bit 96Khz samples sound like a Linn LM-1 sampled from a scratched Phil Collins CD from the dumpster. Who doesnt want that?

Krush and decimort our my favs too. There is not much more to want for crushing bits when you got those two. Perhaps Chipcrusher, which looks pretty interesting, but then you're set.

But distortion.. that's a whole other story
