Yeah, I noticed one of the most hungry features is actually the Filter section at 24. I had to switch from LFP24 to dirtyLP on one of my sounds to let it play halfway decently.
The FX are probably not nearly as hungry, because they're not per voice, you know.

Also a pretty choir, Rich!

No samples used or imported anywhere btw.
Found drawing in the oscillators quite interesting results too.

I think the most power hungry patch(es) were where i created a faux strumming effect using a top end filter sweep using the MSEG on sound with lots of high frequency, so yes its the filters.
Also found that every instance stole a bit of CPU whether playing or not.

Yes, especially - even if that sounds a little paradox now- when you use Reverb. That, I believe, is the IDLE killer! If you don't use reverb, IDLE may actually recover quite nicely and CPU usage goes down again. In MuLab we have the SET AUTO BYPASS feature, which you have to set for each individual instance (annoyance), but I set it to 200ms and it helped.

I've just been through this whole thread downloading submissions, and I must say...

90% of people didn't tag their file, and 80% of people didn't name their file properly.
When you have a download folder with 20 files all called "OSC105.WAV... and you load them into a media player an they're all not tagged... bit of foresight is needed there i think.
also, a few people haven't enabled downloads.

Feels weird this time, always ending up with dozens of tracks and project files after OSC, because this time the synth will expire.
Love this synth, should definitely buy it.
Here's some feedback for the version that was available at the beginning of the month.

Many of these issues have potentially arisen because the chosen code was optimized at the cost of functionality, however these solutions may very much help this synth.
- Envelopes - made easier to set fine amounts
- Lfos - monophonic by default
- EQ – G & F labeled Gain and Freq, for clarity
- Delay - able to be free from sync (enabling haas etc)
- Vibrato - able to be sync’d
- Filter post fx ought to be a routing option, otherwise more simply, include HPF and LPF in EQ section
- Gui should open faster which may mean having a less animated option
- Notes shouldn’t hang on several instances simultaneously very consistently in Tracktion 6
- Presets may benefit from being normalized, mid scooped, compressed, and closer to 50% spread for mono compatibility

This track is about how we're all in a simulation with no reference point for otherwise, inspired by and reminiscent of the older work by the chemical brothers, bassnectar, fatboy slim, crystal method and misc old racing game soundtracks. No fx, just xfer ott, melda mequalizer, variety of sound nastyvcs on the master of each section of ~7 instances of Thorn, maxing cpu and a tls maximizer to normalize one of them.

Totally guilty here!! ugh. Didn't realize the download name would be actual file name. Good thing I didn't end up using Thorn Test 25 less bass just took a dump 3.mp3! That would have been awkward.
