I've just been through this whole thread downloading submissions, and I must say...

90% of people didn't tag their file, and 80% of people didn't name their file properly.
When you have a download folder with 20 files all called "OSC105.WAV... and you load them into a media player an they're all not tagged... bit of foresight is needed there i think.
also, a few people haven't enabled downloads.

Totally guilty here!! ugh. Didn't realize the download name would be actual file name. Good thing I didn't end up using Thorn Test 25 less bass just took a dump 3.mp3! That would have been awkward.

People here in Thailand talk about dumps all the time actually, they love talking about it.
Pretty weird at first when hot chicks tell you they needs to take a dump, or about their diarrhoea...

Compared to my normal sound design I used very few external FX and relied on the synth. I used a few EQs and compressors (and automation) for mixing. I found Thorn to be quite inspiring to use. Amazing piece of kit.

Really enjoyed playing with this synth! Its intuitive and powerful with lots of cool features. Tried to keep to just the fx built in, even for mixing, only needed a bit of eq where the built in one did not have the range i needed (on kick and bass) this meant it also used lots of power, so even with only 15 instances my cpu was at max. Still Love this synth tho
I did use the glitch processor (and some random mods) for the hihat sequence on this one. creates interesting variations.

is totally founded on a single glitch processor sequence, I got the feeling for the rhythm and the melody from the single pattern I made.

Just wondering is there a good circular recorder I could just keep running? I had much better playing moments than what ended up here. But I wanted to participate just for the sake of it...

A lot of people reported that they struggled with time. And they made a compromise.
As hard as it sounds, I'm against special rules for one person only. I mean it's around 30 days to complete a track, right? what about all those who compromised quality to make the timeline? Just asking...would they say: damn I'm such a dork, I could have ignored the timeline and asked for an extension...why bother about the finish date anyway.
I'm completely okay if you ask for an extension for *all* participants until 02.12. Probably I will do an update too? Would be only fair to all.

Umpf, man, that's an ugly situation, vitalker. You should've checked with bj how soon he'll get to wrap things up rather than making such an official request, you know. Because I am actually with Peter on this one. There always is a certain tolerance, arguable because of the "international date line", hahaha!

But, yeah, the naked truth is that everyone really has their own struggles to make it in time. Except me, of course, because...I have all the time in the world unless something very strange happened. So...that may explain why I'm all for the date line threshold!

So, yeah, I'm with Peter, as confusing as this sounds to me: "NO OFFICIAL EXCEPTIONS for stressed students or the likes"!
