kv331 wrote:Hey guys,

Here's SynthMaster One v1.1.3:

v1.1.3
1. FIX: SynthMaster One doesn't parse waveform/wavetable category correctly when they are under nested folders
2. FIX: Mod wheel works in reverse direction on MacOSX
3. FIX: Slope parameter changes in the reverse direction for the drive view control
4. FIX: Lines are not drawed antialiased on Windows
5. FIX: SynthMaster One saves empty favorite presets file
6. FIX: When the demo period of SynthMaster One demo expires, SynthMaster One might crash
7. FIX: SynthMaster One doesn't send plugin version number when sending crash reports
8. FIX: Some preset author names appear twice
9. FIX: When parsing note numbers from file names, the name is modified which might cause errors for multisampled waveforms
Alright, here are some bugs I found on this build...

-I get a missing wavetable error/crash for some Bigtone patches, it may also be the case for some other patches too.

-Also the "BEL Bells" preset shows up twice in the browser and prevents cycling further through the presets because it causes the browser to be stuck on the "BEL Bells" preset.

-And last, sometimes the visual keyboard keys get visually stuck after playing some sounds, I usually have to replay the note in order for it to reset to not being highlighted. I think its more likely to happen while playing chords with arpeggiated sounds.

Thanks for all your work.

But..the user waveform area still isn't right.

Yes, user waveforms that are nested in folders are now present and not invisible.

Yet they are not presented in the same way as Vandalisms waveforms are:

Vandalism/basshouse/basshouse1/ #waveform#

I know my picture is hard to see but you can see that it is still only allowing one folder layer albeit now nested folders are actually being read so some improvement.

Instead of:

User/Adventurekid/adventurekid 1-100/ #waveform#

it's putting the first two folders together..

User/Adventurekid-adventurekid 1-100/ #waveform

It;s better than it was in that at least waveforms can be organised but it's only half good..

Hey Bulent! Thank you for the update. I have a question regarding mouse scroll...is inverted mouse scroll a feature or a bug in the update?:D

Wait! I did all my tests on Windows, I guess the path separator might be causing issues :dog:

I thought it would fix the reverse wheel on OSX, I will test again.

my number one request too!
trying to get used to it, but it's messing with my mind :P
glad someone else is picking this up too!

what OS are you on?
I thought it might be an OSX thing? cos in the system settings there's an inverse setting or a "natural" setting for scrolling...

Version 1.1.3
FXs parameters modulation works now with envelopes and with the LFOs, but still there are some serious problems, I uploaded an example preset, if you play many short consecutive notes, the modulation will suddendly stop, and then if you start playing legato, all the new notes won't have any effect from the LFO/ENV.

Is there SM One skins available somewhere? Not really a fan of default one(s) :P

Agreed, they're 'workable' but no real match to the sound quality of the Synthmasters.
What about putting up a SM One & 2.9 skin contest?

(BTW, I really like the skins Bojan Kerkez designed for the Lokomotiv ...)

Agreed, they're 'workable' but no real match to the sound quality of the Synthmasters. Maybe one day Bülent hits up someone like Bojan Kerkez who did some great skins for the Lokomotiv ...

ewwww, really?
whatever blows your hair back i guess.
i think it'd be great to have some other GUI choices, but those look hideous.

Different strokes for ... (I put that in brackets for a reason).

Anything more constructive ... anyone?

Satyatune, who did the SM1 skin, is a quite talented graphic designer :http://www.satyatunes.com/web/index.php
I agree that the SM1 seems a bit too "generic/vanilla" to my tastes : while SM1 is a workhorse, it could benefit from a GUI giving it a bit more identity imho.
I find the default skin a bit too dark, and the gathering of shiny "Moog style "knobs (= vintage) with the JP8000 supersaw alike design (=more modern) quite surprising (it doesn't disturb me either, ah ah !)
I like the skin he designed for Hive : http://www.satyatunes.com/web/serenity.php
I think that with some tweakings, the default skin could be slightly improved in order to give SM1 a stronger identity ;)
