Which version of Sound Forge Pro is included with this deal? Both WIN and MAC?

Well, it turned out to be €129,59 (incl. VAT) for the whole package. Inst on two machines did work, too.
Won't install Samp because I'm happy with my DAW(s). But Soundforge and the Spectral-tool are a steal in that context.
Thank you, Kraznet!

Only WIN (telling from the confirmation mail). SpectralLayers includes downloads for both OS, so this may be the answer.MountainKing wrote:Which version of Sound Forge Pro is included with this deal? Both WIN and MAC?

Yes it looks like Sound Forge for Mac is a separate purchase whereas Spectral Layers includes versions for Mac and PC.elassi wrote:Only WIN (telling from the confirmation mail). Yes it is confusing as there seems to be another page where the $149 is. It seems that users without previous versions of Samplitude have managed to install it and authorise it so whether it's a mistake I don't know but as far as I can tell it's working for new users.
Also $149 deal expires on December 6th whereas the other deals don't seem to be time-limited.

You can trust VariKusBrainZ, buddy.Skorpius wrote:According to the regular US Magix site, the 149 $ offer must be an ugrade.
It's the full version.
Wonder how they 'sell' this price/decision to the existing user-base but that's not my problem.

There's even an advanced function to randomize note velocity, which is way better than the alleged randomize function in Studio One.xphen0m wrote:In terms of midi functionality and midi editing, how does this compare to Cubase?
The only thing I'm missing in terms of midi is a "Randomize Note Lenghts" function - but not even Cubase has such a function, and I doubt any other DAW has.

I am a Samplitude user since the Pro X version and I can guarantee: I know VERY WELL Pro Tools, Sonar, Studio One, REAPER ... All these programs are very good and have their peculiarities that make them unique to the workflow they propose.progtronic wrote:Yeah, totally not gonna fall for that again...aallvor wrote:Crazy deals like this always make me a bit suspicious...
When I met Samplitude, however, a lot of things changed in my musical routine. A whole new range of very interesting options has opened up and I've only been using it ever since.
The current Pro X3 version is solid, stable and very close to (its big brother) Sequoia's features.
The aggressive promotion that now awakens the attention to its existence, certainly has more to do with the infiltration of the manufacturer to the consumer market than for its discontinuity.
This discontinuity is visibly IMPOSSIBLE to happen, since MAGIX has accelerated the development of its entire line of programs. There are extensive updates on its awesome video editors (Video Pro X, Movie Edit Pro, Vegas ...), not to mention the recent acquisition of SONY's flagship programs, including the well-established Sound Forge, which is already winning notorious updates!!!!
This is definitely not a behavior of one who thinks about stopping.
Samplitude is an incredibly deep and rich DAW. I could never understand why it is so little debated.
Those who seize the opportunity will see for themselves.

Unfortunately, this is not a proof for me at all. While I do believe that new users can download and install everything without being asked for a previous version, it may well be that existing users who jump on this deal are unlucky - in that their previous version, once Pro X3 is installed, is taken as a basis for the Pro X 3 upgrade.elassi wrote:Another proof (downloading tons of stuff is one of my main hobbies on a weekend):
I'm talking about being able to sell my previous version after purchasing Pro X3. And judging by the Magix website offer, I can't be sure whether this will actually be possible.

As I said: The existing user-base may not be amused, more precisely: pissed (and I truly understand it!)
