"You need to buy a separate licence to run it outside of Samplitude unfortunately."
Kind of puzzled. I know that one can't use samples of Magix Music Maker (Soundpool) because they are not royalty free. However, I suppose the X3 samples are ready for production, with the exception, one has to pay an extra fee to get them in WAV/aiff format.
Afaiac Magix samples are outstanding.

WTF: Spectralayers alone would worth the investment. And Sound Forge Pro. I can't help feeling a little pissed because, as a long time user of Samplitude and Sound Forge (especially Sound Forge), I wasn't offered any kind of deal on Spectralayers.
Aren't they coming with a new version of Sound Forge Pro anytime now? I was expecting it before the end of the year.

I have recently purchased soundforge and SpectraLayers. This purchase would not let me login to the account where those previous registrations are. It almost seems like now I have two separate accounts (pages) under the same email at Magix after registering this. My SpectraLayers registrations are located at two different Magix webpage logins. Sort of confusing, but everything registered fine.

Hey, I emailed Magix but I'm wondering if anyone knows what their crossgrade pricing is like? I'm mainly interested in Sound Forge and Spectralayers Pro as I've worked on OSX for 20+ years, so I'm wondering what the cost would be to crossgrade to the Mac version of SoundForge??Kraznet wrote: You need to buy a separate licence to run it outside of Samplitude unfortunately. I think the quality is very good. The strings are from Kurt Hunter. Brass sounds good as well.

So these are all older P2 serial numbers, they work but you cant register them to your account outside of the program. Seems they have upgraded the system to accept P3 serials only. Looks like much will have to be added to your accounts manually by support. Unless the built in registration happens to work for you. This is for registration and downloads, not activation mind you. Also, your receipt will contain direct links to your products.
*Ok, there are 2 separate systems, I had to reset my password to get them to match.
*If the registration failed for SpectraLayers, under windows you can delete the files in:
"C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\SpectraLayers Pro 4.0" to reset the program, the reg and activation
dialog will appear after that, at the next start.
Just sayin...
*It doesn't look like much in the way of updates to SoundForge or SpectraLayers have occurred since their acquisition anyway. So it hardly matters at this point. I read that they are actively working on the next SoundForge Pro version in the forums. Be interesting to see what they can do with SpectraLayers, I doubt it will come too soon though.

Kraznet is going to be working overtime
Seriously though, this is an outstanding deal. I picked up the same deal this past January and my only complaint is the way Magix has organized, or should I say lack of organizing their support forums and the delivery system for the massive content this program gives the user...FWIW it was listed as an upgrade back then as well but was the full monte... It's really confusing between the consumer sites and professional sites, registering, downloading (why can't locations be selected for EVERYTHING?) and so forth. Magix needs to hire a web developer to streamline this stuff. Think one stop shopping, one ID, one location etc..
That being said, Kraznet hooked me up and all has been well. Guys, this is an excellent deal and Samplitude is an excellent, truly professional program. It doesn't fit everyone but neither does any DAW. At this price, give it a try and make sure to start with Kraznet's vids and the very friendly forum.. Just my 2 cents.

How does Samplitude handle plugin organization? Is there a plugin manager?

So, do you get individual licenses for all the products? The reason I ask is because I want to give my friend friend Samplitude and SoundForge but keep SpectraLayers for myself. Are any of the serials bundled?elassi wrote:Well, it turned out to be €129,59 (incl. VAT) for the whole package. Inst on two machines did work, too.![]()
Won't install Samp because I'm happy with my DAW(s). But Soundforge and the Spectral-tool are a steal in that context.![]()
Thank you, Kraznet!

So, I've owned SpectraLayers and SoundForge when Sony handled the activations. I was able to register SpectraLayers and SoundForge with Magix automatically by entering each serial in the Magix website in some registration page. So, if I buy this, are you saying I won't see the serials for this current version in my Magix account?pekbro wrote:So these are all older P2 serial numbers, they work but you cant register them to your account outside of the program. If you already have them they should be there. Mine are new lic's, only Sound Forge Pro actually is listed there @ "https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/" So far anyway. The serials I received begin with P2 and aren't accepted in the Product Registration area. There are definitely multiple systems @ work, they may be connected later I dunno.Mathematics wrote: So, I've owned SpectraLayers and SoundForge when Sony hacked the activations. So far I have registered, Sound Forge, SpectraLayers and Samplitude successfully via their built in registration.
Its not really a big deal, it all works. I'm sure I can get it added to my account if it doesn't appear later.

Thanks for the reply. Last question. Do you need a registered email when using the P2 serials? Do the serials serve as unlock keys as well without the need of an associated email? The reason I ask is because I don't want to be bothered in the future for registration if and when my buddy needs to reinstall or deactivate the two modules out of the three Magix is offering in this sale.pekbro wrote:The serials I received begin with P2...
