Gotcha.
The last time I checked the "patch naming system" has nothing to do with how a synth sounds. If you judge a synth on it's patch management system rather than by the sounds it can make then I have genuine pity for you.

Like I said Synth 1 has been popular for many many years. There are reasons for that.......

Hold on a second. You corrected me on not being able to find things NOT on the sound of the synth, which I said nothing about. Yes, it sounds great. It's one of the few free synths I own. But I'm sorry, it is IMPOSSIBLE to find anything out of 25,000 patches in about 50 different libraries if not more.

THAT was my point.

Another day, another wag induced argument.

Well, stop correcting me for things I didn't say and there won't be any arguments.

It's difficult to tell if you are saying it's impossible to find anything useful soundwise or impossible due to the size of the patch library.

I took it to mean you couldn't find anything useful soundwise.

That's what happens when you assume.

The synth sounds amazing. Better than many paid ones. But if you're going to download the entire online library, forget it. I learned that the hard way. Total waste of time. Between duplicates, junk patches (one guy made a library using a random generator) and names that don't make any sense, you might as well close your eyes and just pick something.

There are only two ways to find anything in that library.

1) Have an eidetic memory

2) Go through everything and write down all your favorites making your own index or moving them to another folder that you create.

That's it. Aside from that, the online library, while a nice gesture, is unmanageable. That's part of the reason why I don't use the synth often. It's not the most fun thing to program as the GUI isn't exactly a work of art. So it's rare I go to it.

But yes, the synth sounds amazing. I guess if you want a solid library you either have to take the time to make it yourself or buy one of the paid ones online. And yes, there are some excellent ones, including the one I listed above that has that Toto patch.

I didn't correct you on anything, in this thread anyway. I commented on your inability to remain civil in public.
Just stop acting like an argumentative hard ass, ruining threads, and spoiling the community site we have going here.

I didn't say you did. My argument was with someone else that you just had to butt into. Maybe if people would stop assuming what I mean instead of what I actually said, we wouldn't have so many damn arguments around here.

And nobody is forcing you to read a damn thing I post. There is a foe feature that will block everything I post from your view. You don't want to deal with me?

I suggest you use it.

We'll both be a lot happier.

You absolutely did tell me to stop doing something I hadn't done. But never mind facts getting in the way of your story. lol

But seriously, just chill out. Remember you're not as important here as you think you are in real life, and adjust your disposition accordingly.
Telling people to not read your comments isn't an acceptable defence of your aggressive behaviour. The onus is on you to change how you post on a public forum, not ours to ignore it.
Take some responsibility for your actions and man the f*ck up. Whiny bitches, even if they shout the loudest and longest, never come out of a scrap with dignity or credibility intact. It's true, as far as your reputation is concerned, the damage may already well and truly done, but look at it impartially. Everyday it's another drama, and to be fair, the site deserves better than your public breakdown as it's own Trueman show.
For the love of Adam, sort yourself out or move on. You're a drag, man.

I'll adjust my disposition when people stop pulling apart every word I say and dissect it like a lab rat. I made a statement that the synth was impossible to navigate because of the size of the library. I was accused of saying the synth sounded bad.

I'm not going to be this forum's punching bag. If you don't like it, too bad. I really don't care what you like or don't like. It's getting to the point where I have to read every single word I type here and see if there is any way it can possibly be misinterpreted. I'm sick of it.

As for my reputation, yeah, that's pretty much shot, so why should I even care anymore? So really, you're wasting your time trying to reason with me.

Well if the moderators won't stop you from spreading angst everywhere you go, it totally falls on you to up your game.
Forget the fact you've already ruined your rep, just strive to be better and not such a douche.
It may work in your favour.

Wags, I disagree with you about the GUI, I think it is a work of art, clear, colorful, and resizable. It even has a retro vibe if you choose to see it that way. :D

In all seriousness, it won't matter. If I come here and say "1 + 1 = 2" while for anybody else here no one will contradict them, for me, I'll get something like "Unless you're working in binary and then it's 10." And I'll be corrected.

That is my reality here. That's what drives me crazy about this place. And yeah, I should have just let all this stuff roll off my back all these years but I didn't. And you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.

My only hope for peace here is to just leave. Anything less and I'll constantly be dissected on every word I say.

Even when it's just 1 + 1.
