Ambient Reverb

Anyone tried it yet? :)

Tried it, and I like it! Especially the "freeze" option... you can even turn a short bass pluck into a pad. The stuff of ambience indeed. Good work, vasyan!

Indeed. It's time to say goodbye to Sanford Reverb that I like a lot. This one is much better. :tu:

Tried it as well, not sure if this is bug in S1 Pro v3.5 (64 bit, win10) or not...but I cannot hear dry sound at all, no matter which settings I use, I can only hear the wet part of the sound?

OK, I also have one little issue. When I use it in Reaper 5 (64-bit) the reverb will continue playing regardless of whether I stop the playback... ie: if I set it to 100 seconds, it WILL go on for 100 seconds. However, I also have ACID Music Studio 9 (32-bit) and it's not an issue there... the reverb stops when playback is stopped. I don't know if it happens in any other DAW's, but I find it easier to work with when I can stop it on command, regardless of the plugin settings.

I think this is normal behaviour.

Very nice reverb, really sounds great. And very low CPU too - 0.3% versus 1.9% for Soundtoys Little Plate, so that's very impressive indeed.
A bit fried in the higher freqs

Nice reverb, but Dry does not work properly. If you lower early and late reflections to -infinity there is no signal left...

Freeze is behaving strangely when using short decay times, the signal is too strong and has no relevance to a currently set reverb.

Oh yes my Reaper 5.4 really does not stop reverberation at the stop command of sequencer. ACID and FL Studio cope with a reverberation stop as send the message to a plug-in of "effMainsChanged" with zero parameter.
And here that the Reaper in case of a transport stop sends unclear, it is necessary to look for as speak at us in Russia by "method of a scientific stick (метод научного тыка)" :D

So wait for corrections, and try to encourage my researches donation :tu:

If you such smart - make a reverberator itself, and I will find in it thousand defects
Everything works normally. If you think that something works not so, means you or incorrectly you do, or your concepts about that as shall work are erratic

I want to report the fact - Ambient Reverb incorrectly works with Adobe Audition 3.0. In the list of preset is not factory present, and preset which Adobe Audition offers by default absolutely forces down the plugin so that it is necessary to set all parameters manually :-(

The Reaper works similarly and with other reverberators - does not lock a signal after a stop of transport.
So to lock a reverberation signal a plug-in in case of a stop of reproduction I do not see a sense as at the same time the plugin will not work in the hosts intended for processing of a sound in real time, for example in FL Studio, Abltone Live and so on.

As variant - grant request developers of the Reaper that on a stop of transport sent to a plug-in the message of "effMainsChanged" for a method call of "AudioEffect.suspend". But I think that with this request they will send you as speak at us in Russia - on three letters word

I don't know aboot the "letters" but that is good reading about Reaper's extension for VST SDK https://www.reaper.fm/sdk/vst/vst_ext.php .
I guess that some of the "Host Functions" could be useful for ya.
Good luck. Amazing GUI btw.

Vasily, I am not trying to be a smartass, not at all. Just pointing out what I thought were flaws in your design.
I have been beta testing for several developers for quite a while so this was my way of reporting problems, I know it's not easy to make a plugin and I didn't want to disrespect you in any way. I was just offering my opinion and I am sorry if you thought of it as being offensive, that was not my intention at all.

Btw. I have found another problem for guys who work at higher sample rates - it sounds that the decay time shortens the higher your sample rate goes. Again, take this as a plain bug report and not as me trying to disrespect you or your work in any way.

All the best,
Lesha

Dry sound doesnt work and when you switch off freeze, reverbs decay stops fast and unnatural...no matter how many seconds i choose!
