Yeah, I know neither PT nor Live have it, those are my two main DAWs now, but its kind of ironic (in this thread, so levity-ironic) for 'loving Reaper' because it gets a feature 4 years after Sonar et al...

My 'love' comes from the fact that this shiny new feature doesn't come via a $150 upgrade, not that it has a feature no one else has. I bought Reaper at v4 and it has been consistently been improved without costing me a thing. I'll be damn happy to throw money to the developers when v6 comes along, knowing that I'll get even more value in the years of updates that will follow. Best $60 I have ever spent.

You complain about Reaper users, but what is truly ironic is that you don't see how terribly you behave yourself.

I wouldn't say whyte behaves terribly. IMHO he's one of more level-headed members of KvR.

Regarding this particular topic, I say yes, he could have actually read what I wrote, instead he makes snide remarks

He's guilty of the same offense he says turns people off to Reaper users IMO. It is ironic.

What, having a sense of humour? Not sure that's true, some of the most thin-skinned Reaper users dont seem to have the vaguest sign of one. Unlike you of course, you've taken this thread so well, not even the slightest sign of unwarranted over-defensiveness.

Yeah, very true.

(Offtopic, really for one of the Sonar threads, but its also ironic for other reasons that CW are the only company to come up with any other ARA plugins...)

They did? The only plugins that use ARA that I know of are Melodyne and VocALign Pro 4.

I think I've done pretty well all things considered about being 'over-defensive' but you've done your fair share at being offensive. You call it humor, but that just is your masked aggression. You can at least acknowledge that much.

Ah, I didnt realise that had gone ARA, so my mistake, not the only other company then, just the first. Their DrumReplacer plugin is ARA.

Gotcha. That one flew under the radar, for sure.

I tried drum replacing with Superior Drummer 3 and it's the bee's knees. Perhaps they'll implement ARA for that part, eventually, ehehe.

Im really kinda surprised that we dont have an editor that does it yet. Maybe Magix will wrap it around SoundForge/SpectralLayers now that they've got them.

And while we're offtopic on Presonus tech, the Mix Engine 'summing engine plugins' thing that they added, that's something else Im surprised hasnt turned up anywhere else yet. Its an open spec too isnt it?
