That option crashes all DAW's i use (FL Studio, Studio One, Reaper and Ableton).

From the Tone2 thread;

Markus: "The problem does only occur if no wav file is in ...\Icarus_wavetables\ .
Since the installer of v1.1/v1.0 copys wav files to Icarus_wavetables\ by default no crash will occur if you had installed the previous versions before installing v1.5.
If you expecience a crash you can solve the problem for yourself with Workaround2.

The bug will of course be fixed in the release version."

ok workaround 2 worked but it is very limited..... no randomization seen, check here some randomized patches. a joke?

yep, it IS a beta. and tone2 acknowledges the issue, and is working on it. what more could one ask for?

I don't understand. They announce the update now, but the file is compiled the 13th of November, so exactly the same file you could download the 14th of November from Tone2.com. Why are they announcing the non-beta 2 weeks later, when it's the same file? This was also the case with the latest Nemesis and Electra2 updates, as far as I can recall.

I asked Markus about this on a previous release and he confirmed the version was the same. So I gather no new issues were reported on this beta 2, so he just called it the final release version.

Adding sample import is big addition. It seems like it makes Electra redundant or is there something else Electra can do that Icarus can't?

Got the email about the update too. I must say that i'm quite impressed by all the enhancements and changes in the version, they really do a good job with updating their plugins now (after all that's something which always has been criticized about their software). Can't complain if you own one of their plugins now really. I'm pretty sure we will see something new soon from Tone2 though.

Love this synth! and the update!
import audio is huge

here's something i did with 1.5 and i don't want to get too much into it even if i saw nothing in release notes it seems bass is a lot more detailed and puchy, maybe it has something to do with my abusive use of reverbs

side note, it doesn't sound that punchy the bass or the sound overall after upload and coding....
even if it sounds better on an MP3 on hearthis then a WAV on soundcloud


i know tone2 guys don't come around KVR much but MSEG's on this synth would be epic!

Wow, finally a great skin besides the Solid blue one! Where can we get it?

I must also add that I'm so happy with my Tone2 synths! These constant updates are bringing value to the instruments and pushes me to use it (and abuse it) often into my projects. I would love to see other developers spoiling their fans like Markus and Troels do. Thank you guys for the latest Electra2 update and now for the Icarus one!
