Anyone knows if it's possible to set a kind of threshold in Pro-L2 ?
In France, we must limit true peaks at -3dbTP. It seems impossible to set this kind of limit in Pro-L2... :?

Use output gain in the lower right corner.

Thanks Lesha, I thought about that too but I wanted to know if there was another option under the hood. Well I'll stick to that. :)
I'm eager to try that "Bus" mode on drums...

Also, you can still have peaks that hit the -1dB peak ceiling required in many places (and some require the ceiling to be -3dBFS). So combining metering in the limiter is rather nice, no?
The metering is one of the hilights for me, always used a separate meter. This so much better and easier. Sounds stellar as you would expect and generous discount from FF as well.

Cubase 15, Ableton Live 12

Very nice. But I have to wait until Christmas day as the upgrade will be a present from my wife.

I agree, and Unity Gain is a must have, seriously. Other devs should make this a standard feature in their limiters IMHO.

I’ll need to demo it, I’m sure it sounds great and works amazingly but I already have Pro-L and I’m not sure if it’s worth the upgrade that is near $100 for me. Not cheap at all for couple of new features.

I have to see if all the new added features will really be useful for me… Anyone upgraded and now has the V2? How do you like it compared to V1? Worth it?

I don't think it's worth $100 honestly, that's a bit steep for an upgrade.
Try the excellent Unlimited by Sonic Anomaly (Win only), completely free, has LUFS readout and sounds amazing.

FYI: I've tested ProL2. It is not really a true peak limiter. I used AppleRoundTrip which is a tool to detect ISPs in both the PCM and compressed streams. It is part of Mastering for iTunes certification so unless someone has some evidence its in error, its the best tool I can find for metering ISPs. I tested ProL, ProL2, Ozone 7 Maximizer, Ozone 8 Max, Nugen ISL2 and Limitless. The only true peak limiters of that bunch that wont throw ISPs with 0dB ceiling are ISL2 and Ozone 8.

May I ask you how much Pro L2 overshoots in your tests? I just tested it too by applying +24dB to a signal and rendered it out 2x. The one without TP detection had true peaks at +2dB, the version with TP detection enabled had true peaks at exactly 0dB. So no overs.

What did you use to measure the ISPs?

If that is indeed the case then Fabfilter are gonna be in trouble for all the references to 'True peak limiting' on the product page and within the product itself ...

$69.65 is the upgrade price I'm getting in my account. Not low enough for insta-buy but I will keep an eye on it (they have Xmas sales I think).

Static analysis in Adobe Audition, ProTools Pro Limiter, Toneboosters EBU Loudness, HOFA Meter... I use Pro L as my goto limiter since like 4 ever and I haven't noticed true peak overs. The masters I do often got double checked in other studios or by the airing stations. So if there's anything wrong someone had definitely told me
