Congrats to Bitwig, but FL Studio has been topping Music Radar's readers poll for years now...

http://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?t=178669

I like Music Radar/Computer Music, but I'm starting to wonder about their reviews and awards when they include products that have been pulled/abandoned like MAGIX Acid and Audio Damage Tattoo. It seems a lot of their content is recycled.

So, in layman's terms, Bigwig spent the most money on advertising in Computer Music in 2017.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

To be fair, it's a popularity contest, with everyone who has the link (not just MR' 'readers') being able to vote. And part of FL's popularity is due to it being heavilly pirated. I'm not sure I know any legit user.

Any proof of that? Because from the issues I've bought & read they're covering all major DAWs quite evenly, e.g. in #250 there's article on 20 tricks in each DAW ( think 7 or 8), #251 has a big article on Live 10, etc.

Actually Acid isint dead.
It’s hanging on by a thread.
Magix confirmed that they are working in a new version set for release in 2018 but they haven’t said much.
Might be to late however after the product was abandoned for so long. We shall see.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

Well deserved win

Good to see Bitwig's fresh creative DAW get some well deserved recognition!

These yearly magazine polls, don't have any other purpose than to sell the magazine...to the demographic where they think their readership is and have something to write about, it's really got nothing to do with the daws themselves. Why isn't Nuendo 8 at number one ? ...because the majority of their readership isn't using it, why is that ? Because it's £1600...Just meaningless polls/ awards these magazines do every year...

Your thinking is so black and white... just because I sell photos to clients, does not mean I do not care about my work. Both can exist at the same time.

BTW, Regardless of price, I would not choose Nuendo

Congratulations Bitwig team!

Having both Bitwig 2 and Ableton 10 beta, there’s really no comparison. Bitwig has totally surpassed Ableton in every way.
Nice to see that Fruity Loops didn’t win

When you are in the business of selling magazines today, it's money that counts...things have changed massively since the 1990's and early 2000's. Half the pages of these magazines are full of adverts and so thin you can spit pea's through them... and they are way over priced. Caring doesn't come into it sadly...but if it makes you happy... well it's these types of users they have in their sights to buy the magazine.. :tu:

The realities of paper publications in the online world does/did not stop the authors from having an interest in music software.

Bitwig won because it is a creative new tool in the DAW world. Bitwig 2 has some very forward thinking development and it was recognized. The Bitwig modulation system is more fun and capable than any other DAW.

Frankly it's nothing short of a miracle that CM reported the 2017 DAW of the year in the April 2015 edition.

On second thoughts, perhaps there's been a typo.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

Did Bitwig even exist in 2015.
