yes, this might be - but Jules programmed up to now Tracktion completely alone - why should he suddenly team-up with another high-profilic developer?

Because he thinks they're doing the buisness-side of the buisness better than him? No?

Charlie Steinberg started alone too. Things evolve, and things grow over your head.jens wrote:yes, this might be - but Jules programmed up to now Tracktion completely alone - why should he suddenly team-up with another high-profilic developer?![]()
But in this case I think they are two different strong personalities with their own ideas.
Tracktion is more a linear multitrack recording app while Muzys is more a live performance/sound design application. they would very well make up a dream app.
Since they both have made their own GUI and have a completely different audio routings sheme and concept I don't see them make a symbiotic app without a fight and clash of ideas

Nice that the message was sent out individually to registered users. Better than only the announcement on the website and here.
He's working for Wizoo now btw.

God DAMN it!
I knew I should have bought it when I had the chance.
Now it's gone. And there's no way that the new "whatever" will approach the coolness of Muzys. As I have said, the mixture of linear and pattern sequencing was SO well balanced and intuitive (for me, anyway, and many others it would seem). And the sample handling was the only FULLY integrated one of its type aside from FL!
I would bet cash that it is these things that will be scrapped first in any new project. And the Muzynth... I never even got to TRY it!!!!!
OK, it's over, and I accept it. things move on, and so will I. But it still hurts. Now there's only one program that handles samples the way they should be handled.
Devs: Please, Please take a look at how samples are integrated into the MIDI SEQUENCING of Muzys and FL. Nothing is more easy to use and effective as being able to just drop a sample into the sequencer and use it as an instrument.

Wizoo is affiliated with Steinberg ...
Oh btw. the former Steinberg founder Manfred Rürup and Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer are part of a team that is helping Wizoo with its big expansion (including 8 new programmers - some well known in the 'scene'). So you can bet they are not affiliated with Steinberg anymore. (no rumour)
