Edit: It was logic / osx that was at fault. A restart later and logic picked up omnisphere and everything was good. :dog:

I want to install omnisphere on a new machine. I already have the steam library on an external drive. I can't find my original usb drive which it came on. Is it not possible to install just the plugin? They seriously want me to pay £10 just so I can download the vst? It's not like I want to download the sound library...

I'm pretty sure you can. Just copy over all the media, then install the latest version of the plugin. Once you've authorised it (or before... can't quite remember) then it'll ask you where the STEAM folder is. Point it at your new location, and job done.

I cant seem to install just the plugin though. I've installed the latest update file from the spectra site, but nothings appearing in logic. Maybe it's a bug in logic, I'll try restarting my machine.

Contact Spectrasonics support. They are good about getting you back up and running.

My bad, my mac needed rebooting for logic to see it. Edited original post.
