It looks like xar is a Gnome thing somehow. I run KDE. I've started a thread about this. - Thanks.David Else wrote: Nothing that complex! I just clicked on the .pkg file in Nautilus in Gnome 3.26.2, and it opened, browse to the presets and drag and drop them into the destination folder... that's it.

Brilliant plugs. Love the filter so much..
Are these the same synths but just mono Vs poly or are there other differences?

There are other differences. The filter is the similar but setup for different gain staging (try the Poly filter in RePro-1 to hear how different it can be at default settings), there's no Jaws in RePro-5 but you get Velvet instead, there's also a per-voice distortion in RePro-5, the modulation ranges are different, RePro-1 has a sequencer and Arpegiator and RePro-5 doesn't, and there's probably a few other small things here and there. RePro-1 is Pro-One and RePro-5 is a Prophet-5 Rev 3.3. U-he added velocity, effects, and some other features to round out the package. Like the hardware they're based on, they have a lot in common but they're not the same.studiowaveform wrote:Brilliant plugs. Love the filter so much..

I'd say they are more similar to each other than their hardware counterparts exactly for a reason that you mentioned - you can actually chose the type of filter/osc in either one.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:There are other differences. Maybe exporting individual Repro-5 preset files is the best way.Mutant wrote:Just give a prompt for the user on how and where he wants to load the bank.Urs wrote:We have planned to provide a tool that converts SysEx to .h2p. SysEx import directly is difficult as we do not have a concept of preset banks, and SysEx is typically a full bank.electro wrote:Will .syx import make the 1.0 release? It sounds like the remaining dev time is going to be spent on the preset browser.

I'm glad I bought diva too, despite already having repro 1, since now I've found that repro5 is a bit heavy for every task, so it seems to work well when I split the load with help of diva (I have cpu i7 5820k and dac sfrpro 24).

I am having trouble getting Repro-5 to work on my late 2016 MacBook Pro (16 GB RAM). Using it in Logic, even in a setup where one instance of Repro-5 is the only thing in the Logic song, I get continuous crackles while playing. The software is correctly registered to me. Even though I selected Multicore in the Repro-5 preferences, I see only one core working, and subsequently maxing out and crackling very quickly. But if I close the Repro-5 GUI, I am able to play it- though still only one core, at 50%. I contacted U-He support, but no answers so far beyond the basic suggestions (increasing buffer, increasing multicore #, etc.). Repro-5 sounds so amazing, I am hoping to get it going...

This might be due to Power Nap and/or App Nap. You can try disabling Power Nap in the Energy Saver system preference. If that doesn't help, I remember that disabling App Nap on Logic was the first thing to do in Mavericks. I'm not sure how to do that on Yosemite or later, but it might be worth giving a shot.marzzz wrote:2016 MacBook Pro (16 GB RAM).
Also make sure that you really have rev 6794 installed, as we reworked Multicore for better load distribution on Macs.

The attention to detail of U-He products is incredible, as the hardware has it like that too, but really, what's the point of all that middle wood on a computer screen?
Wouldn't it be better as on the image on the right side?
