Was it new modelling methods with repro over Diva?

The emulation is much much better imo

Anyone know?

It's an old one, C2D E6750. But my point is that I can use multiple instances of Diva or Bazille in middle quality, but not Repro-5.
That CPU is more than 10 years old and yet you're complaining about CPU usage being brutal. :D

seriously take the $100 you would spend on this and gt a new CPU
Too late.

And thanx for the advice, it never occurred to me to upgrade my machine. :P

Only the u-he team know, but if I were to guess, the filter model allows for or is better at being driven harder, hence it sounds more dynamic. I'm hoping some of Repro's technology makes its way into Diva.
I think its more than that, as the jp8000 oscillators are terrible (as an emu)

So this synth has 2 OSCs?
So you can choose between pulse, saw and triangle waves?
8 voices polyphony?
A noise OSC?
A few modulation options?
Oh yes, and some FM too?
And, and, and.... it sounds vintage?
And this hasn't been done a gazillion times before?

And yet nobody at KVR is bitching?
It must be really good, then!

The thing is, it serves a purpose. Essentially, to emulate the original and it does an excellent job.

It doesn't do wavetables or granular or any of that fancy stuff. It's simple to program if for no other reason than there isn't a lot of options. So you have to get creative.

But if you want a Prophet 5, this is it.

That's why you buy it. If you want something else, you buy something else.

Regarding the title, is it really Repro -1.1? I thought the 1 refers to the monophonic nature...
And the Repro-5 should be named Repro-8 8)

It's a little confusing because u-he refer to it as...
Repro contains Repro-1 and Repro-5.
Repro v1.1 (includes Repro-5)

*edit Dropping .1 to avoid confusion :D

:D
Reminds me of the Synthmaster chaos 8)

Maybe it would help if Repro 1 were written as Repro One, similar to the original... And Repro 5 as Repro Eight 8)
