Amazing! You sent me reproduction steps and even a video!

I have found and fixed a race condition. Although I could not reproduce the crash, I did see the short button. After the fix the button size did not change, so I am pretty sure the crash is gone too! I'll check the rest of the issues now.

Awesome!

Regarding the first issue (MIDI In disabled in Chord Selector in VST mode), the best way to reproduce it on my system was to have the RC application crash (with the earlier crash reproduction steps) and let the VST plugin relaunch it automatically. Then, MIDI In stops working for the Chord Selector and is still OK in Quick Suggestions. Simply closing/terminating the RC program did not help reproduce it.

Found that pesky history error I had emailed you about. hehe I would guess this is actually a low priority problem, but, given the scope of the project I am working on, it became annoying. So, this video just gives an update to the status of the control file I am building manually for Ik Multimedia's Philharmonik 2 CE and how I was able to reproduce this error. The volume of the articulations in this library has me doing very tedious repetitive typing and testing. I test each instrument to be sure they are working correctly.. I just wanted to give everyone an idea of what is involved when you don't have a list provided by the manufacturer.. lol (error at the end of the video) Also, note, as of this post, I'll provide this control file sometime during the week of DEC 18th, 2017 in the tips and tricks forum..

Yea, the phrase preview, when it is on and you click on the phrase, does not play the articulation. It uses what ever was last articulated. I'll be doing a video later in the week, if I have time. (holiday stuff)

when the Lock to Scale activated Voicing seems lost,
is this is expected behavior?

I reworked MIDI input handling so I believe this will work perfectly in v3.41, to be released later this week.
I am checking the rest of the issues.

Good point!
It would be cool if it worked, but at the moment 'lock' works by finding the best inversion and octave for the chords on the master track. So this has to be entirely rewritten to use the 'voiced' notes. Not an easy task but I'll see what I can do, maybe not in the next few days.

Right, it did not play the note articulations, just the phrase articulation. I fixed this today.

hey thanks! Update not really necessary.. I am somewhat finished.. just some minor testing and I am working on a quick video showcasing the key switches in action.. All I ask is, if you could incorporate the control file into future installs/updates, so as I won't have to rebuild this monster file.. haha This was something I really needed to move forward, so, it was my pleasure creating it.

Also, I checked on Garritan Instant Orchestra, another library I have, and it does not use any key switches. It just uses Mod Wheel and/or velocity triggers. Those I prefer recording via my DAW with a real key board anyways..

"Lock To Scale"* was totally reworked today. Now it works with voicings. It became VERY powerful. Really.

*1 It should be called "Lock To Scale And Chord"
*2 "Lock To Scale" is a function that, when applied to long phrases, will keep the phrase shape, even when chords or scale changes in the middle of the phrase. When the chord changes, it does that by inverting chords to have a smooth voice leading. When the scale changes in the middle of a phrase, notes will be mapped to the new scale, by finding the closest scale note.
