6.FIX: BT Silence waveform is not loaded correctly, causing clipping issues for the presets that use it

After updating to 2.8 and 2.8.4 Bigtone preset BT 70s two note fx has no sound!!! I have tried several times re installing it! Maybe some other presets are gone also! Any help?

Confirmed and a few other BT presets too.
BT Mr. Hollow, BT FlexFX-2 and BT StarSparkles for example.
LD Sine Screamer BT once the modwheel is at zero gives no sound, which was broken I think in 2.5 and never fixed......

I ran 'check for updates' from SM 2.8.12 64bit Windows, but it still says I'm running the latest.

Try again, just updated the database.

I wasn't that patient, I updated manually. The new wavetable display is very handy and it sounds great , there are still red areas where the skin doesn't fit perfectly, but whatever. And the modulation drop downs don't minimize unless you click off the source somewhere, it seems like they should when you click the category ie. VFLO, I can work around it definitely but it was confusing initially, I'm not sure if that is intentional or a bug.

The SM-800X 120% skin is also majorly borked, not that I am using it but just accidentally switched to it and the scaling is really bad, unusable. I didn't check other sizes.

Just got a crash clicking on the arrows in the wavetable view (in Komplete Kontrol, Mac)

It seems the skinning system is very finicky and hard to properly support, SMO is simpler so there seems to be less issues. Maybe going into SM3 development, simplifying that could be a big part of the redesign? I would also like to be able to resize without having to relaunch. U-he synths are able to do that, and only require resources for one size, so they are both easier to support and for skin makers to jump in and create skins themselves. Frankly the skin editor for Synthmaster is no joy to work with at all.

Sorry to say but I got some trouble here after updating to 2.9. I have attached a screen shot so you can see what message I get. The problem is constant and it happens every time I try to open Synthmaster. Any ideas?

I used to get a similar issue after updating, the problem was that I had old bits of Synthmaster installed on my machine, cleaning out all remnants of SM and reinstalling solved the issue. In my case, there were SM files in my Documents folder I wasn't aware of.

The only thing I am getting on some presets is Missing waveform for Layer1 or Layer2. And these are all from the add-on Expansions. (Everything Bundle)

One thing I noticed is that the default install location is NOT where Synthmaster is looking for presets anymore. So I had to manually move them to where they are being looked for (which HAPPENS TO BE THE DOCUMENTS folder, Braj!!!). I have tried moving the samples to a dozen different folders. No results thus far.

Help?

Edit- Also SatYatunes Blue Skin at normal has a red line on the right side. Setting it to 120% removes it.

I just installed Synthmaster 2.9 on top of 2.8. It's been working fine to do it like that before, but I will try your approach and remove all files of Synthmaster and install again. Thanks for the input!

OK, I don't usually use any presets, but trying one now gave me this error:

The following errors occurred while loading preset Missing sampledefinition for Layer1:Osc1:Wave 1 (note: this is slightly different depending on the preset)

Preset is GTR Raj's dragon

I am guessing this won't be the last that throws this error

I failed to install v2.9. Now when I run plugin scan it complain because it can't find any resources, skins, presets, etc, etc. This turned out to be quite a challenge.

Even if I manually put the files in the folder where plugin scan tells me they should be, it still doesn't work.
