Urs, any chance you will ever implement a MIDI scaling or relative/takover MIDI mode for controller support? Or, is there a way to achieve this currently?
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

And the Repro-5 should be named Repro-8

seriously take the $100 you would spend on this and gt a new CPU![]()
And thanx for the advice, it never occurred to me to upgrade my machine.
Sorry I just don't understand all the people on this site with 10 year old processors spending tons of money on software and complaining about CPU usage. It gets really old.

I had to clear some cobwebs off my mind to remember what a C2D was.

It's one of the dark clouds on the horizon, as in "shit, someone has to eventually sit down and figure this out". I.e. we have to visualize MIDI edits on the UI and we have to do the takeover mode. I think "relative" is awkward.SJ_Digriz wrote:Urs, any chance you will ever implement a MIDI scaling or relative/takover MIDI mode for controller support? We might also eventually have to figure out how to do hardware controllers but as everything, we need to do this in puppy steps.

Please don't do hardware controllers, just keep up what you do the best

I remember an interview with Arturia saying something to the effect of, it is really hard to get into.

That's not what I meant, Urs + team surely have no probs to get into (already experience), but there is a cultural problem with German developers: They tend to do very specific niche stuff, but in the end and after a lot of controller purchases, you realize that you only need one single controller that does all in high quality and you would pay a lot for it (which does not exist). So, why would U-he make such a general-purpose Midi controller?
And a controller tailor-made for U-he synths would not sell sufficiently to warrant production.
For cost reasons, it would have to be made in Asia, anyway, probably in China. Maybe even in the same factories where keyboards of other brands are made.

"might eventually" shouldn't be overstated. The market changes over time and I'll leave it up to U-he to figure out their direction. It could be Urs lifelong dream or something, who knows? Let it be and see what happens "eventually."

when i was looking to buy the hardware pro one it was costing the same price as the plugin
around 1995 , offcourse the plugin is well priced but i find it funny.
i should have bought all these old mono for peanuts ,ms 20 , roland sh ect to resell them today and buy plugins and get rich
when you think a nord lead 1 was probably costing more, maybe double the price of a second hand ms 20 or pro one and today you have to almost give it for free

To a certain degree it is true, though, which is reflected in the total dominance of the "hidden champions" list by Germans.egbert101 wrote:LOL That made my week.Hanz Meyzer wrote: but there is a cultural problem with German developers: They tend to do very specific niche stuff,

Sorry... but I will keep my MPE controller thanksHanz Meyzer wrote:That's not what I meant, Urs + team surely have no probs to get into (already experience), but there is a cultural problem with German developers: They tend to do very specific niche stuff, but in the end and after a lot of controller purchases, you realize that you only need one single controller that does all in high quality and you would pay a lot for it (which does not exist). And a display for the motor fader, without a wrapper vst construction, but still 2-way communication. Nobody needs anything else.
