Thanks
What happens, if you turn off the second screen?
Have you got this issue only with Avenger loaded or with other plugins, too?
Any other DAW you can try?

Really nice and elegant implementation

Hi, a colleague wants to check recent Avenger. Is the demo already 1.30, too?

EDIT: Btw. why is global tuning here at "440.680" and not 440? Did I do that?

This synth just got so much better!
What an awesome addition!

Thanks
Here is a possible theory:

Screen 1: Driven by internal GPU (Intel, mostly software rendering)
Screen 2: Driven by dedicated GPU (Nvidia or AMD)

On screen 1, CPU is high because the CPU has to draw the GUI.
On screen 2, it's 3D/GPU accelerated.

The dedicated GPU is always the one that's driving the external DisplayPort connector. That connector doesn't even work if the dedicated GPU is disabled. So I know for a fact that whatever is drawn on the external screen (which is giving you less CPU load) is being driven by a real 3D card.

I really don't know if this theory is true but it's a strong possibility if you are running a dual-GPU Apple laptop. I think in that case, the internal GPU drives the main screen, and the dedicated GPU drives the top screen.

(If you have only a single screen, the main screen, then the main screen is driven by the dedicated GPU when certain apps (Logic is one of them) needs high-performance graphics, but is driven by the internal low-energy intel GPU at all other times to save battery).

And trust me, the internal GPU in older MacBook Pros sucks balls. I use "gfxCardStatus" to disable the power-drawing dedicated GPU a lot of the time, and the whole logic UI uses so much CPU when I am on the integrated Intel GPU.

So this may be what's happening for you. What is your computer model?
Love. :tu:
