Did that free demo thing from May get released yet and I missed it?

I think you mean SampleTank 2 FREE.

I have used this since July.

Beware though, it only plays a limited number of sounds, the download is approx. 11MB.
It is basically a demo of the real thing ST2XL, which is very nice, especially the 5 effects per part and zone editing capabilties...
IK promises to supply a few new sounds every month as a teaser though.

Nope--it's supposed to be a special version of Sonic Synth2.

SS2 only plays its own sounds (but ST2 LE, L and XL CAN play SS2's sounds... in fact, you ST2 users can count on some free sounds to add to your set up as well from this free version).
