No mention about this yet, seems like a plugin inspired by the Kurzweil Rumour and RSP8 Remote Control. Has anyone tried it yet, how is it compared to the hardware, especially the Laserverb? From the short experience, I like it for the punchiness which works well with synths and percussions. Laser Reverb + Delay is cool, also the Large Hall and punchy Plate and Chamber.
Just had a short conversation with the developer and the future sounds promising since it's only in the Beta version. They said that in the future update, they will be adding more controls for the modulation and delay sections, which are presently not accessible to users. They will also be adding delay and modulation presets as a free update and will be soon adding a Sony DPS-V77 expansion for a very low price, maybe around $19 during the initial promotional period. What interested me the most is if they keep updating the plugin with more algorithms, especially when becoming the KSP8 in the future.

I don't like speculations, but a little bit excited that the developer just informed that it's eventually, will be the full Kurzweil KSP8. They're working with one of the original Kurzweil engineers and have asked them to allow to license the name. Not sure if it's ported directly from the hardware, but hopefully it will allow 8-channel effects and sound as good as the hardware.

OMG OMG all over the place. I have never heard better impulses than those very few available from the KSP8. I hope they give it the Relab treatment. DEFINITE BUY!!! if thats the case.

Yes, I'm listening to this demos over and over again. Want something like that as a plugin and the Roomer has the vibe of it. It's great to see more great hardware processors turned into plugins, especially something as complex as this. Wish that Eventide will release the full H3000 at certain point.

Hmm, interesting. If that's true then I would like to see much more programability.

The KSP8 is one of the most programmable processor, it's going to be cool if they expand the GUI to the full RSP8 capabilities with bigger screen and easier access to the parameters. I'm mostly interested with effects layering with this type of processor, bigger interface will certainly useful.

Exactly, but Loomer is not, at the moment at any rate.crystalmsc wrote:The KSP8 is one of the most programmable processor, it's going to be cool if they expand the GUI to the full RSP8 capabilities with bigger screen and easier access to the parameters. Seems like Roomer is an appetizer for something bigger, which is a nice product already. Since NOS is going to do the KSP8 and DPS-V77 within one plugin, the possibilites are open. I love the idea of a convolution reverb's flexibility in the algorithmic world, for being able to simulate many different type of processors using actual algorithms and not just IRs.
One main program with algorithm expansions for a reasonable price, using a great GUI is going to be a dream come true. Let's see how it goes!

A little update from the developer, that they've already finished all the background programming for the multi-effects version, the KSP, and only need to do the GUI. Dunno if it's going to be really delivered or not though, but it's on sale until December 31 for just $21 using code “LiveRoomer21”. Imho the Laserverb alone worth the admission price.

If they allow free license transfer I can give a license of that P.O.S. to whoever wants it... I once was stupid enough to purchase it "on the cheap" - what a waste of money... pretty sure that it's just some weird IRs hacked together with SynthEdit or I don't know what also-for-dummies API and it apparently tends to have problems loading them properly now and then or something - I don't remember the specifics, but it had some strange artifacts and what not...
I would suggest Steinberg's Wunderverb over this...

the nos roomer is for me a great reverb. the GUI is a little strange, but that doesn't matter. taste? style of music?
bought it also via jrrshop, for a few dollars less (that sounds nice, because of the movie, it was a dollar less..), a year ago??

$18.48 with the ''Group'' code. Sounds great to me and the price is a steal. Perhaps jens is confusing this plugin with another product, or just looking for attention (again).
Roomer
Roomer specializes in the kinds of short, pillowy ambiences and room reverbs that make vocals and instruments pop out of the speaker without taking excess room in a mix or sounding drenched. Sounds become three dimensional and alive, as if coated by a thin layer of air.
At the same time, Roomer is able to emulate long, dense halls, cathedrals, and plates, and powerful processing under the hood allows it to create effects like NonLin reverbs, gated reverbs, reverse reverbs and laser delays.
Intuitive Controls
Great sound and versatility are combined with a straightforward interface that gives you immediate access to the tools you need to make Roomer fit perfectly in your mixes.
Control the stereo spread using separate pre-delay amounts
Create dense reverbs by mixing pre-delayed and non-delayed reverbs
Shape the reverb frequencies with low cut, high cut, and semi-parametric EQ
Sync delays to the tempo of your project
9 Reverb Types
1 Ambience
2 Small Rooms
3 Large Rooms
4 Small Halls
5 Large Halls
6 Plates
7 XXL
8 NonLin
9 Special
144 presets total
Copy Protection
Roomer is protected by iLok. However, it does not require a physical iLok dongle and can be authorized directly to your computer. If you do choose to use a physical iLok dongle, it must be a newer iLok 2 or 3.
Compatibility
Mac: 64-Bit VST, AU, AAX
OSX 10.10 and later (we expect it to be compatible with OSX 10.9 but it has not been tested)
PC: 64-Bit VST, AAX
Windows 8.1 (SP2), Windows 10 (we expect it to be compatible with Windows 7/64 but it has not been tested)

First crappy SynthEdit plugin with iLok protection according to 'a source'.
