Superb update,
a question about the phase with the new cross mod fm,
it is possible to locked the phase between the mod and carrier osc?

another: what kind of Fm is it?
when osc1 is mod by osc2, for me; it"s like phase modulation but when osc 1 is mod by osc2 and osc2 is mod by osc 3, it"s like linear fm, perhaps i"m wrong, if someone know more about it...i'm interested

Today in had compared it to the "real" FM (= NeoFM) and phase modulation modes in Tone2 Nemesis and as far as i could see Avenger seems to use real FM, not phase modulation. Usually that difference seems to be even more obvious when using more complex waveforms than a Sine. With more complex waveforms real FM and phase modulation could result in a huge difference of the resulting sounds.
If Avenger uses phase modulation it seems to sound different to that in Nemesis with the phase modulation mode.

I am not sure about locking 2 phases between osc's. But you can hard-set the phase per osc (left bottom in the osc display)

When it uses PM, you should not hear differences when using a saw as mod osc. Since there is no phase difference in a saw.

In Avenger you can hear a saw altering the carrier osc, so my guess is it is FM

This fits to my observations when comparing the FM in Avenger to the real FM and phase modulation modes in Nemesis (as also mentioned in my previous post above).
For complex waveforms (and samples) like most of those included with Avenger phase modulation would not really work properly.

This new crossmodulation feature makes Avenger ever more powerful than it alraedy was. Really nice addition and a nice christmas gift.

Use the browser windows and right click a sfz file to import
