1.0.0 preview 3 is out, download links in the original post.
12-23-2017 1.0.0 preview 3
-Added parameter to set audio input capture buffer length (up to 120 seconds)
-Added parameter allow passing through audio from plugin input
-Inverted the number of harmonics parameter active range
-Added button to show settings menu
-Fix bug when offline rendering in host
-Allow setting background prebuffering amount in settings, including none.
(None is mostly useful in case the plugin doesn't detect the host is offline rendering.
For real time playback none is likely only going to work with small FFT sizes.)
-Slightly better GUI layout but still mostly just 2 columns of sliders
-Remember last file import folder
-Added detection of invalid audio output sample values (infinities, NaN)

Thank you for the many small improvements in GUI organisation, parameters, and size that together make a big difference in usability!

Hello Xenakios!
Increasingly big fan of your work, you're a minor idol of mine really. I used your CDP frontend for Reaper pretty extensively on the last record I made. I don't mean to self-plug, but if you'd like to try and listen for some of your handiwork, give it a listen: kylelist.bandcamp.com. I also used paulstretch pretty liberally on that album, and to do so I had to load everything into audacity and export, which was very time consuming. This plugin is a dream come true for me.
That said, and although I know this is the beta, is there ANY possibility for implementing either a drag and drop function or an import function like in your CDP frontend? This, from what I can ascertain, is the only feature I feel it is really missing. I would like this feature so that I could add paulstretched versions of things already existing inside the project I am working on, without taking the extra step of exporting. Both I feel would improve the workflow of the plugin. I tested it in reaper and live 9, and was able to open countless instances of the plugin in either without it crashing.
I think this is my first post on the forum, actually, I guess that's how excited about this plugin I am.
thanks

Drag and dropping files into the plugin is already implemented and will be in the next preview build. However, how that works with audio that is on a host's timeline will entirely depend on the host itself. The host will need to render the drag and dropped audio as a new file in order for things like audio clip/item settings to be present in the imported audio. In Reaper, some modifier keys can be used while drag and dropping to render a new file out of the audio item. edit : I now tested with Ableton Live. In it drag and dropping an audio clip just passes the file name of the original source audio file, so for example if the clip has been edited in any way, that will not be reflected in the imported audio.mellodramatron wrote: possibility for implementing either a drag and drop function or an import function like in your CDP frontend?
Importing selected audio items/clips from the host's timeline is feasible to be implemented only for Reaper and I haven't looked into that yet.

Preview 4 is up, links in the original post. Nothing really fancy in this build, but better to get it out than not.
01-05-2018 1.0.0 preview 4
-Added reset parameters (except main volume and input pass through) command to settings menu
-Added option to settings menu to ignore loading imported audio file when recalling state
-Added support for dropping audio files to GUI (available functionality depends on host, many will simply
provide the file name of the source of audio file, so audio clip/event/item specific audio won't be imported)
-Removed an unnecessary level of buffering (doesn't reduce latency but should help a bit with CPU usage)
-Added About window

Mac Pro 10-core, Sierra
It would be perfect with some sort of circular buffer automatically capturing audio every X seconds and sending it into oblivion as an almost real time effect. Not sure if it's possible with the stretch thing ?
Thanks for the vst, really interesting sound transformations and works ok in reaper.

That might be possible but it will have to wait a bit more into the future.farfadetfarfelu wrote:some sort of circular buffer automatically capturing audio every X seconds and sending it into oblivion as an almost real time effect

I just realized the latest preview(s) is missing the capture buffer length parameter in the GUI.
Will be fixed in the next preview.

Just installed PaulXStretch_Windows_VST2_64bit_100_preview4
opened it in Bidule.
Works great!!!
the multi-touch also works great on my Windows 10 64 bit PC
TD234o Viewsonic monitor.
Thanks Xenakios
Are the features the same on the VST and standalone versions?

at first thank you creating the Plugin Version !!!! All these work and time and and and....
I´m on Studio One3 newest Version and Win7
Must i install any other software Program or can i insert the .dll File and everything is fine ?
Sorry newbie
because of these requirements in the Textfile
Requirements for building from source code :
-C++17 compiler and C++17 standard library
-JUCE 5.2 : https://github.com/WeAreROLI/JUCE
-FFTW3
Thanks in advance

Like it says in the text, that is only for one someone who attempts to build the plugin from the source code. The .dll does not (hopefully) require anything else preinstalled.Arovane wrote: Requirements for building from source code :
