Apparently; yet I'm very surprised. They sell like 1 million sound banks on their site, but don't think a browser is high priority...GilJ wrote:But it seems that the browser isn't quite in their priority list;

To be fair to them, v1.1 was a significant update and took a lot longer to get to stable release than they'd anticipated. I believe it involved a lot of re-writing of code with the priority being reduction of CPU consumption. I guess the preset browser may have put to one side if it was also proving more difficult than expected.
If compatibility issues with existing soundbanks was a problem, that would only compound the issue. I'm sure are there fair comparisons to be made with u-he and their new preset browser.

I get that the preset browser is not a high priority. But it's crazy that they don't at least make the one they have work properly. How can they think it is OK to have to remove and re-import a preset bank just to get your changes to show up?
It's trivial to fix. It wouldn't take a rewrite. Just rename "Save Bank..." to "Export Bank..." in the menu, and add a new "Save Bank" item that refreshes the preset cache with the current bank's state. It would still be a hokey bank-based system, but at least it would be usable.
I could see having a problem like this in a beta. This is not a beta. Has this problem really been around for 4 years? It's such a shame that this excellent synth is hobbled by its preset system.

Hey,
does Spire v.1.0.20 for Windows works to any of you?
I downloaded the latest version prior 1.1 from official wesbite and it doesnt work on Studio One 3, neither FL Studio 12. It shows error.

Alright. Not sure, maybe the older versions are somehow incompatible with the newer Win 10 Updates. I'm sure they won't be tested, or further developed respectively too.

I have both versions installed on my Windows 10 machine using Ableton 9 64 bit. I haven't opened any older projects for a while but last time i checked the old version worked.

Do you get a reduced price for the Reason version if you own the plugin?
