Ok, we've all seen Elbo's silly full year abstinence post where he managed to recruit about three people into his silly scheme. I think that they were all lying TBH. It's a bit like preaching abstinence to high schoolers, we know how that's going to go.

In this thread you can get convincing arguments on why you don't need that purchase. Operators are standing by to talk you down from the edge. Just post the deal, and your justification, and we'll tell you why you don't need it.

But it's not about abstinence, it's just about right now. You may fall off the wagon again and that's completely ok.

Well, Elbo's thread was silly, but I'm still going to invite him to come in here and help with the advice giving because, well, as dumb as some of his posts can be, he sometimes makes a few good points about GAS. Also Rational, come on in here and help man, but no slipping the guests a micky, ok?

I've had....urges... for Syntronik and a MacProVid year pass.

Talked myself out of the former. Don't need it, don't want 50gigs more on my HDD. The MPV pass I hardly used last year. $72 is a good deal, but, no.

Don't be fooled by the 'end of year sales' they'll soon be followed by the 'new year sales'.

Don't buy out of date waves plug-ins just because they used to cost hundreds of dollars. You've already got better stuff.

They only have one play....don't buy things. It wasn't particularly successful.

^^^ HaRd MoDe was totally successful because it was difficult but fun, and el-bo helped keep it fun! Now you are following in el-bo's pioneering footsteps to start a little offshoot: a second success!
