Thanks for the interest in Acoustica! What exactly do you mean, i.e what kind of information would you like to see in the project that isn't stored along with e.g. wave files? Undo and redo history?

Hello Stian

I am coming from SoundForge Mac and in SF there is an option to save an audio file as a project whereby the audio file and it's related effects chain is saved together. One can then open any number of audio files as projects each with it's own region list and fx chain and move between them.
I tend to work this way, whereby i duplicate an audio file and it's associated FX chain and then alter some aspect of the file or fx chain...versioning.
Oftentimes going back to previously edited work many months later.

Regarding key commands for viewing...as an example:

I've assigned the FX chain and the the browser on the left side of the Acoustica window (tabbed) and would like to be able to use a key command to hide the whole panel as a group with all the tabbed windows with it.
Currently to close all of the panels in my default layout (left-2 tabbed, bottom-3 tabbed & right-1 tabbed ) takes 6 key commands. It would be nice to make it 3.

Regards
Krzysztof

Thanks for the elaboration. The region and label lists are stored along with the file formats that supports this such as WAV and AIFF. Unfortunately, there's no project file support at the time being. You can save processing chains as individual files. The chain is not tied to a specific file. A key concept is that you have the possibility to quickly try the same chain on different files. I guess what you would prefer is the ability to store the list of open files along with the processing chain in a project file?

I'm not sure how easy that would be given the flexibility of the dockable layout system. Since the layout is completely free, it would be very had to define which tab container that should react to a specific keystroke. Or did I miss something?
