Ok, I understand that sounds crazy, I`ve just recently started experiment recording a metal track with all free plugins and stuck with drums. I already have a paid drumkit, don`t want to use it now, besides I`m tired of its sterille sound. Looking for smth new. I thought there must be some wav samples of acoustic drums to load into a sampler, however I didn`t find anything good enough, only useless loops in 2 different tempos. Any advices?

MT Power Drumkit has a good sound for a certain kind of highly processed metal, and is free, but is not flexible.

Option two would be SM Drums and a lot of tweaking and processing.

If you have Kontakt, you could also look at Sennheiser's DrumMic'A and Ivy Audio's Scott Drums
