i have a $25 PA voucher for January that i'm not going to use, so if you want to catch Chandler on that sale, you're welcome to have it
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Thanks, I already got a 75 voucher from PA so that‘ll be the so called no-brainer purchase in January.Burillo wrote:i have a $25 PA voucher for January that i'm not going to use, so if you want to catch Chandler on that sale, you're welcome to have it

I picked up a few of the PA amp sims over the Christmas sale. I also have all the Softube amp sims. Night and day difference. I could see using the PA amp sims on projects. For some reason, the Softube amp sims never sit right for me. Too thin and lifeless. The PA sims do sound good enough to use, even though I have real tube amps to work with.

I had exactly the same impression a couple of month ago. I therefore sold my Softube Volume1 bundle and have never regretted that.trmupstage wrote:I picked up a few of the PA amp sims over the Christmas sale. I also have all the Softube amp sims. Yes, you can. It's the last option in the list of cabs.acousticglue wrote:cannot turn off cabs not good

I got the Medadual sim and I like it. So, of course, I bought it. I think Kazrog's sim is better of the same amp, but PA's is very good sounding, too. Especially with the extra features. So I saw that the ENGL 646 VS is on sale for $49 and I got a $25 voucher. But man.............I'm glad I demo'd that before I bought it.

I do metal.....but even I don't like that sim. The other ENGL sims I have sound fantastic.jens wrote:Engl = mettel
I'm curious if the 646 is supposed to be close to the ENGL Powerball. It's got very similar features....but the Powerball sounds way better based on the sims and YouTube demos of the actual gear.

What style should is it good for though. I get the impression it doesn’t do clean well, like you would use for jazz or funk.ShawnMH wrote:The Chandler sim is one of the very best imo.
And as far as demo audio/video goes, you can't do much better than a world-class player such as Michael Lee Firkins.

I think - high gain perhaps aside - it is great for any
style. It does clean in a slightly dirty way - a bit similar to a Bassmann, I would say.
It's a fantastic amp.

I'm impressed by RockRack & BassDude (but am perplexed the latter has no 4x10 Tweed guitar cab - that's the all-time classic Bassman). Was looking for something noticeably better than Ableton/Logic/Reason amp sims & Guitar Rig, these definitely are - work great on guitar, bass, and baritone guitar.

I haven't been impressed by anything but Fault which needs work still and Sandman Pro. The rest of plugins are too high$$ or don't do much sad to say. Literally every guitar amp and cab and effect I have is better.
