Hello !
I might consider selling soundwares at a later time in 2018.
I don't have a clear view of what's behind a commercial site. I live in France but I assume it's almost the same over European Union. It would be modest,as I do not plan to go full time.
I know for sure some small players have stopped their activity 2 or3 years ago (already ???) when declaring VAT and get traces of each of your clients became suddenly compulsory here, in EU. Other than that, I'm rather clueless...
A friend could help me with the technical side of things. And I already "own" a SIRET number,as I'm a freelance writer :I can use it for any commercial activity.
What do I have to know about the spending involved behind such an endeavour ? I said it would be a modest project but may be one cannot be modest because of the money necessary to run such a project.
Thanx for your help !
Launching a soundware commercial site ?

About VAT, this is meant to simplify things.
Other than that, get a friend do your necessary administrations or take an online service that locks on to your web shop I have to get into too if I plan to sell something

Update: december 2017, the European Commission accepted the addition to the MOSS regulation: sales below a threshold of €10,000 a year will be treated as being subject to homeland VAT only. So no more frantically keeping track of your customers if you stay below €10,000 worth of sales a year. The only thing to wait for is your country to implement these added regulation in local tax laws. Expected to happen during 2018 I hope.
