We're working on something that will change the way you use your sample library.

We've been working hard on a product called 'Atlas' which uses Artificial Intelligence to analyse your sample library, classify sounds and turn it into a map based on it's sonic characteristics. Similar sounds are grouped together, you can find the right sample by clicking around and following the 'sound' trail until you find what you want.
e.g. Big DNB snares are in one corner and snappy trap snares in the other.
Samples can be dragged out or triggered via MIDI. There are a bunch more features that we'll show soon.
We're just looking to get the idea out early, get some thoughts and hopefully interest!
We also just booked our flights to NAMM so if you're going, lets meet up!

Not going to Lie this is Really Neat. Absolutely love that UI too, very clean and easy on the eyes.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

Sounds awesome.
Curious what AI techniques you'll be using for this..

Why didn't I come with this idea earlier?
...I'm too lazy to implement it, anyway

Is this based on concatenative synthesis from Ircam?
As you show it in Live, is it a Max4Live device or will it be a plug-in?

I'm all for AI as long as it's intelligent enough to write songs for me.
No signature here!

Cheers for the interest!evilantal wrote:Sounds awesome.

We're using a tailor made deep neural network and multiple clustering techniques. A lot of the real magic is in the feature extraction.
We already have it working great, now we're just working on product features!

No we started from a blank state. We're not synthesising new samples, we using AI to better arrange the samples you already have.Tj Shredder wrote:Is this based on concatenative synthesis from Ircam?

And Atlas is a universal plugin, so any DAW. AU/VST and standalone app.

I'd like to see an artificial talent tool that will pick better samples that what I initially pick. It should listen to other tracks and recommend sample changes based on what is playing together.
I'll pick something that sounds good by itself, then add in another track like bass. At some pint later something doesn't sound right. Two bass sounds interfere . It'd be great if the first beat went back and picked a better sound based on some weighting factor and what other tracks are playing. Maybe even mid song.
