Anyway, jumped in, and did the upgrade,...

They are on the ilok now

To be installed later on my new build

Seems that when you got the bundle, it makes most sense just to upgrade the HOLE bundle every now and then

I still can't decide to update from AnthologyX (+ 3 VST). I mean, it's 1$.. a whole Dollar, that's 0.87euro.. To get Fission+TVerb.

Had X+2 ,... paid 70 bucks to get Fission :-)

But then again, that would most likely be less than waiting for a later deal on Fission

They are rarely under 50 pct

Look at it this way: "the extra ones where free"

HOLE bundle? You mean the Blackhole bundle? :P

I'm always tempted, when I see the Anthology on sale... but I cannot justify the price for what I get. The plugins won't add enough value to my existing (huge) plugin rack.

But for other users, I think it's a great collection.

PS: I'd be mainly interested in the Instant Flanger and Phaser, which both cannot be bought as single plugin. What a missed business opportunity for them :(

Wasn't there once a Clockwork Legacy bundle? Can't find it.

I seem to remember something like this - I think it might have been for TDM only. I agree it's a shame the Instant Flanger/Phaser aren't available as single plugins... it's one of the reasons I bought the bundle, although I wanted the harmonizers too (vintage ones and Octavox/Quadravox). I think the bundle is worth it if you can find it for a cheap price used or in a sale. In some ways maybe they devalued it a little with the free/very cheap deals on Ultrachannel/Ultrareverb etc.

Interestingly, and slightly related, apparently the 2016 plate reverb exists in VST form, at least for Windows, see here:

http://www.princetondigital.com/PD5/index.html

I wonder if they're planning on releasing that or whether it's just not worth the effort?

I've wanted to get hold of H949 (mainly for the 'De-glitched' pitch effect) but again it looks like it's only available via the whole Anthology...

From memory, and this might be wrong, that Princeton Digital has been around for sometime - I think it's actually the guy that engineered the hardware version? When I contacted him which was several years back I think you bought directly from him. Perhaps he has an arrangement with Eventide like that with the New Fangled Audio? It is curious because his 2016 Room looks exactly like the Eventide 2016 except for the name.

Yes, it says on his website that the plugins are sold through Eventide so I'd believe that's the case. Which is why I'm curious if Eventide has any plans to release his plate verb that, at the time he last edited his website, was not available on Mac.

I found his website because I noticed that the discontinued TDM plugins had princeton audio on the front. While of course I don't actually know, I'd bet money that the 2016 room that they sell now was his original code. I'm just curious why the plate wasn't also released.

The site looks very old - copyright is up to 2006. The only items of news with dates are from 2005. The windows versions are for XP.

I'd think if Eventide were going to re-issue they would have done it by now. Which is a bit of a shame, the Room is quite nice and a little bit of history.

You would think so. I wonder why they chose not to? I've never used the TDM versions nor the hardware and I'm mostly just curious. I also like the 2016 verb quite a bit.

Anyway, more detail here for those who, like me, didn't know the history behind this unit and the plugins:
