Ableton groove pool question

I'm auditioning different grooves in the gp on a midi drum track (full song played on a midi kit). All seem to eliminate hits here and there (not only effecting timing/velocity). Is there a way to apply a groove that leaves every drum hit?

That should not be happening. Check the velocities of the original. If they are too low, and you're using a groove with low velocity hits, it could make the corresponding hits in your clip inaudible. Or, alternatively, lower the velocity control on the groove.
