I think the unboxing video is most relevant to show music stores are now getting the devices.

Why all the hate for Behringer? They are taking old tech and making it affordable. I hate Moog more for sitting on their laurels for so long and not working to make their synths more accessible to the average teenager. There could have been a happy middle where you have higher quality components, Moog could have released a $600 Minimoog. At the end of the day, it is a monosynth. It shouldn't cost $3500.

1. People are irrational, gearslutz are in denial of rationality
2. Some people think of synths as investment and Behringer (as well as Korg) are making affordable things that are moving prices down
Well Moog Corp present themselve as luxury instruments producers for last 10 years. They have their own market share and they were happy with it until now, and probably would have most of it in future.braj wrote:There could have been a happy middle where you have higher quality components, Moog could have released a $600 Minimoog. First world problems, i suppose.braj wrote:Why all the hate for Behringer?
It may also have to do with the fact that Behringer exclusively manufactures in China (as far as i know), and we all known that they employ only slave workers there. ... who would otherwise have to do hard farm work, 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, getting a total crap for it, compared to what they get at Behringer. As mentioned, first world problems, and the total neglect that, at the industrial dawn, the conditions were exactly the same in Europe, or in the US.

Yeah, some are very selective in their outrage regarding 'Made in China.'

This is an older video. I saw it at least 2.5 months ago and this video is what encouraged me to put this on back order for sweetwater. - Scotty

It is an older video, yeah, not sure if it is the final revision either. They probably did only fine adjustments though, if any. Don't think they'd provide someone who does a full blown video comparison, with a lot of details, also showing the innards of the device, with something which will change radically on release.

I don't think much of the model D, but if Uli & team can produce an affordable Arp 2600 or VCS3 clone, I'll find room for it in my setup!

Here's the links to the demos posted so far, on the gearslutz thread Mutant linked to.
I ommitted one or two owing to not being recorded properly/dry or having some drum track.
Links just posted for ease, you should check out the gearslutz thread to thank the original uploaders etc.
Also, here's a very recent quote from Uli:

Before the calibration can start, each product has to run for 30 minutes for the electronics to warm up and stabilize.
Subsequently the unit runs through a stringent one-hour calibration and testing procedure. Testing is performed on a sophisticated Audio Precision system where every single function of the product is tested.
I understand that it must be frustrating to wait for your product. But with around 20,000 backorders on hand we are a simply overwhelmed.
Be assured that we are working hard to get those orders completed and shipped.
Thanks for your patience.

I have a Moog Voyager RME ... and I'll buy one. Primarily because of the ease with which it can be used with eurorack, but also because I want to contribute to this being a roaring success for Behringer - so that their other cloning aspirations have a stronger chance of becoming a reality. Tempted to order now ... but will probably do what I always do and let the early-adopters deal with any teething problems.chk071 wrote:TBH, the more i hear of this, the more i wonder if i really would need it, when i have Monark already lol... sounds so spot on like it.
