Does Live do latency compensation inside of racks, say slot 1 has an IR cab with 16 samples of delay, does Live automagically delay slot 2 by 16 samples or do I need to insert AUSampleDelay on every oter rack slots (that have no latency)

asking because i get some weird phase issues on tracks with cab sim on 1 and no latency sim on other slot, and it's hard to tell just by the sound (both sound actually ok which is something I didn't expect), i just wanna know which is perfect)

afaik they arent compensated.

There is latency compensation inside the Racks, they are like parallel tracks.

Assuming this AUSampleDelay plugin is 100% transparent and reports the delay correctly to Live (hover the mouse pointer over the Device Title Bar to check), then you test yourself by putting that AUSampleDelay in a Rack chain, then creating another parallel chain in the same Rack with an Utility phase inverting that chain's audio, it will result in silence (null), showing there is no time difference and it is compensating properly.

I just tested it here to be sure with some plugins that have delay (a couple limiters and Voxengo Latency Delay), latency compensation is working inside (or outside) Racks.

I found it began to work after clicking Stop button several times.
