They really don't have much thought put into UI/UX... Which is a damn shame.

Well, the more recent ones (D50, JV1080 etc) have *better* interfaces in that they are scalable at decent quality.

They've said they *are* reworking the older interfaces, but we haven't seen the outcome of this work yet - or indeed, any other new analog modelled plugins - so hopefully they'll get better over time...

Is it just me or do the Gui's look like they are from the 90's ? I tried programming some of those synths and my eyes just started hurting from looking at those terrible graphics...

The GUI is actually modable. Maybe someone comes up with new designs.

That's something I'm wondering too. BTW, this completely replaces the Orchestra Sampleset they previously released (which had four sample packages) right?

EDIT: After a quick check, it seems the Orchestra SRX contains the full previous JV-1080, plus the SRX expansion. Therefore, it should be possible to load JV (up to XV-5080?) SYX files. That's what I will check tomorrow.

I can't answer that BUT this SRX plugin does contain the 1083 PCM waveforms from the JV-1080 VST as well, which is nice. I just checked it.

Well it seems that you can't import the JV-1080 VST patches into this SRX. I tried to import the .bin files into it but without success. I think we'll need some "hack" here.

For the other SRXs, they'll do the same : add the proper SRX PCM waveforms + XV 1083 PCMs.

It's really the knob behavior that breaks them for me. I'm using Reaper, I don't know if there's a way in the host to change that knob control. I might actually subscribe if that gets fixed.

Reaper has the option to change the knob behavior but it only works if the plugin supports changing that from the host (most don't)...

At least mousewheel is supported, with Shift for fast turning and Ctrl for fine turning...
